I spended one night and loved it!
The only flaw is that room does not have a very modern decor.
It has a fantastic view, it is very well located, very clean and quiet.
The breakfast is very good! Several types of breads, cake, croissants, toasts. Several types of jams, cheeses, ham, butter, honey. They also have boiled eggs, screambled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms. apple and peach juices, lots of teas, coffee, milk and chocolate to add. They also have a variety of cereals.
If you are on a diet you can still enjoy breakfast!
I would really would like to return!
By the way, each room (i think) has a very good balcony where you can catch some sun! :)

Ofir looked unpromising a first sight set at the end of a part one way road on a roundabout overshadowed by high rise apartments. Inside the front entrance with its black marble floor and ramps for wheelchairs and lots of lifts spaced out conveniently along the corridors it is a different matter. Food is good but it is a buffet and when freshly set out it looks superb - lots of fresh fruit etc at breakfast delicious looking desserts in thhe evening - but get there early or wait until the late replenishment because French and German tour come for one or two nights mid week and the display looks well dismembered within minutes. Rooms are spacious and the staff are courteous and very helpful. Its a long walk to Fao if you want to catch the local bus, but there is a wonderful boardwalk along the Cavados River marshes to make a more leisurely mile walk to Fao and round to Esponende. Look out for otters and various wild birds you won't see in UK

The location of this hotel is excellent with views onto a beautiful sandy beach with spectacular breaking waves. Staff are friendly and helpful with good English spoken. We stayed as part of an inclusive tour so we ate in the restaurant most nights. The food is plentiful and good, with a slight 'mass catering' taste to some of the hot food. Breakfast buffet is varied with as much to eat as you could wish for.
The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. You would definitely need a car to explore the surrounding countryside. Happy Hour prices in the bar are great! Overall, a good experience.

Room Tip: Rooms on the beach side are quieter.

Located right on the beach with super views (dont want to be overlooking car park and higher is better) with good walks around it as located within a nature reserve. Hotel itself is nice and clean with interesting sculptures and has free parking though has a slighyly tired feel. Would be good for family holiday or mature couples but not really a young persons place.
Tips - super beach bar below hotal with excellent prices (large G & T 3€). Italian restuarant stuck on end of hotel has the better food. Try to arrive early at peak periods as full of cars all trying to park and hotel is at the end of the one way road.

Two very good things about this hotel: setting and price. It is located next to nice pine groves and Ofir Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. And even though I reserved 2 rooms in mid-August I still managed to get very reasonable prices for myself, my daughter and three granddaughters on the internet. We were going to spend just 1 night but we liked the resort so much we decided to stay another night.
and some
The hotel itself is kind of old: parts are run down and the furniture and some curtains need changing. However, the 2 swimming pools, the tennis courts, the bar, and the bowling alley are in very good condition. There is also a gym but the machines are old.

The buffet breakfast which was included in the price offered quite a variety of food: white and brown bread; sliced ham/cheese and fresh cheese; scrambled eggs, bacon; cereal. Coffee, milk, tea and cereal; yoghurt and muffins.

Wi-fi is free and so is parking. However, parking on Sundays and holidays can be a problem.

All in all a very pleasant experience. I would recommend it to mature couples and families.

Room Tip: Rooms 553 and 555 + 427 and 429 all overlooked some pine woods, the swimming pools, tennis courts a...

Although we had asked for a disabled room when booking, it was unavailable when we arrived. In the end, it wasn´t necessary for our situation as my husband is more independent than other wheelchair users might be. The receptionist very helpfully offered to show us a standard room to see if it would work and it was completely suitable for us. It was situated directly opposite a lift and a short distance from the dining room which was on the same level. The room was plenty big enough for the wheelchair to manoeuvre and allow access to the bed and the bathroom was big enough to allow access but not to close the door. Access to the veranda was slightly more challenging but he managed with a little help. The hotel in general was very wheelchair friendly.

The hotel itself is an older model and the rooms could do with a revamp but ours was spacious and clean. Unfortunately there was a major problem with the hotel air conditioning system but we were fortunate to be there when it wasn´t absolutely necessary. We left the veranda door open and had a sea breeze to cool us and the sound of the waves to soothe us. The hotel parking was awkward as there was no form of control (the electronic booms were not functioning) and spaces were occupied at times by non hotel guests but there was another large adjacent public car park which we found to be quite secure.

We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant with its view over the ocean. The staff were without exception very pleasant and attentive. The food was fabulous – no complaints there. We chose from the a la carte menu for dinner and it was moderately priced. The choice was varied, the food was freshly prepared and extremely enjoyable, from the tiger prawns to the steaks. One dish I have never found before in the North of Portugal is lamb chops but I found them here and they were exquisite – compliments to the chef !! The dessert table was another world completely, full of freshly prepared local delicacies – yummy – or fresh fruit salads if preferred. To round off the meal, I can thoroughly recommend the Irish coffees.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would return to this hotel.

Very good place in the very first line. Very comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff on the reception. Very soothing surf of the open window after Porto sights. Do you need more - try another one hotel!
