Description: The Restaurant & Gastronomic Atelier Sra.Peliteiro was born in August 2011 in Fão, continuing the work started by Chef Paula Peliteiro in Brazil. Since February 2016 you will find in the new facilities in Quinta da Barca enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Golf Course and view of the Cávado river in Esposende. Passionate about the culinary art, Mrs. Pelitario receives its "guests" with an abundance of colors, aromas and flavors, as in a world of 1001 nights. Its global cuisine with flavors beyond borders is based on traditional Portuguese cuisine, creating tasty exotic dishes: a Tagine (Moroccan) or a moqueca (Afro-Brazilian), or even an octopus with the pepper of the land of the Azores. The sweets, another of the passions of Mrs. Peliteiro, are inspired by the richness of the Portuguese convent candies and offer the "icing on the cake" to all who delight in a tasty meal. The Sra.Peliteiro Project, such as the Atelier Gastronômico, organizes culinary themed workshops for children, adolescents and adults in its space, as well as in various institutions, as a volunteer, as part of its Social Intervention by the Community.

We had a great night out even though we were very early according to Portugese standards! The staff was very helpful with both suggestions for the meal as well as things to do. And - equally important - the food and wine (Soalheiro) were lovely.

Somebody recommended the place and it was worth it! We came in the restaurant without reservation although the restaurant was fully booked they still managed to put some tables together so we could eat. (4 persons) the food was good, high quality for the price we paid. Everything was perfect, except for one minor thing:

I ordered the “cod fish with angel hair”, it tasted very crunchy and was served with chips, crunchy fried angel hair and some tomatoes. I must say a very surprising but good combination. But.. the chips was a bit oily > this could be very easily avoided by serving the chips in an additional basket.

Overall the restaurant was very good, no big issues and a wonderful service!! It was like eating a very luxurious fish and chips, in a classy restaurant with a wonderful view and that for only ~€30 per person (3 course meal> good portions+ coffee)

9/10 I would eat there again.
Keep up the good work!

A little bit tucked out of the way but once found it's worth the effort. Lovely setting on the edge of a golf course and by the water. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service was very good. The price was also very reasonable.

Tired of the craziness of the city I’ve decided to have dinner outside Oporto. In just 40 minutes I had dinner at Sra. Peliteiro, a place surrounded by beautiful landscapes (so lunch view must be stunning). For starters the choice was shrimps (5*) and the eggs with cheese. The moqueca was super tasty. The best is definitely saved for last as the chocolate triffle is pure indulgence. Definitely the best dessert I’ve tasted!
If you are one of those people who really enjoy authentic food try it.

A feast of lamprey eel, proposed in 2 recipes: Lamprey Bordelaise and a lamprey rice, both beautifully prepared for a great Sunday lunch party.
