I hadn't been here in years, but I was impressed with the improvements. The animals have more space & natural habitats. They are currently adding a animal care center so I believe they really want to improve the animal's habitats. Major attractions were the baby primate and the elephants. This is a small zoo with great walking paths so its great for everyone.

I have been to many zoos. This was the worst one I have ever been to. They don't have anything! Its a very bare display of animals. Maybe I went at the wrong time (though I was there in June) but I was very disappointed. This was also my husband's first visit to any zoo. Needless to say, he doesn't understand why anyone would go to any zoo ever now that he has seen this pathetic example of one. Too bad they dont have anything to look at!

We did a behind the scenes tour of the elephant house. It included a painting by Cita the elephant. On my wife's birthday! She held the canvas while Cita slung paint at it. My wife was so happy and covered in paint. Wonderful. A small as in doable zoo. Liked it better than the LA Zoo.

Great place for the whole family...it is surprisingly large and has a very large variety of animals and displays...special favorites are the Tigers and the Monkeys...make sure you get discount tickets through either AAA or the City entertainment book...

Perfect sized zoo for any size family. We went with a young family, their 7 month old baby and 3 year old son. It was the perfect combination of indoor/outdoor exhibits, not too much walking and all the musts, including: giraffes, tigers, and, of course, monkeys!
Have also been there for a couple of adult/business events... awesome venue with the large gazebo right next to the tigers' magnificent habitat.
