It's a small zoo but has all the animals your little ones anticipate seeing at a zoo (elephants, giraffes, monkeys, tiger/lion). The train ride was enjoyable for our children (ages 4 & 5) but the "guided tour" wasn't as informative as we'd hoped for. I wouldn't waste my money on it if we went again. Many exhibits were closed for renovation (part of the Asia habitat, the prairie dog exhibit, the petting zoo/farm, many animals weren't in their habitats). We never saw the meerkats, kangaroo, or turtles. Not sure if they were hiding or inside(?). When we went it was very hot outside so most of the animals were hiding out/sleeping in the shade or inside where they sleep at night. My kids especially loved playing in the fountains after walking several hours in the high temps. Beware that you cannot enter the gift shop if you or your child has wet clothing on. You'll want to get your souvenirs before heading back to the fountains.
