This is a place I visit frequently for work lunches, date night dinners, and dinners with my family of 6. There are lots of options for foodies and picky eaters alike, including sandwiches, burgers, steak, chicken, pasta, meatloaf, salads, gyros, shrimp, crab cakes, pierogies and more! Portions are slightly above average, giving you added value for the cost of your meal!

The restaurant's decor features local artists' 'taste'ful works. The service staff is always friendly and efficient; food wait times are fairly short! There is a full-service bar if that's your thing (we don't partake so can't review it).

There may be a wait during peak lunch and dinner times but it's well worth it.

Been here several times. Everything I order is always falling off the plate with YUMMINESS!!!!!!! Try their funky chicken sandwich on sourdough or ribs. Don't forget the crinkle fries

No Frill is the locals favorite. Everything on the menu is great! Salads and sandwiches are huge....enough for a second meal! Service is great, staff is friendly and you can't beat the price. Good food for a good price....can't be beat! We are at No Frill once a week!

Excellent place in Ghent section of Norfolk. This is a solid, dependable place to go for locals or to send out-of-towners -- you know anything ordered will be good. I'd call it a "tie-breaker" if a dining spot can't be decided upon (almost anyone will say, "OK, I can do No Frill"). Solid American fare favorites with occasional exotic special dishes and specials. Can't go wrong for lunch or dinner. Just as likely to see the wealthy of Norfolk's tony neighborhoods of doctors, lawyers and college professors as you'll see millennial couples or the price conscious grey-haired set. Good bar and surprisingly varied wine selection and growing local/regional microbrew beer options. Don' know if I'd say they have a particular "specialty of the house" or must-do nights of the week -- just a really good place to dine or grab a quick nosh after a art house movie or foreign film at the Naro Theater around the corner.

This place is tucked off Colley Avenue a half block. Parking lot is behind the restaurant. Almost no lobby, so it's good to go when there is no wait. Even if you don't, it's worth the wait.

No Frill Grill has a great selection on their menu. You can do a light meal or leave stuffed. I've never had anything that wasn't good there.

My favorite lunch meal is the Teriyaki Tuna Pita. It's just perfect and you have your choice of many sides... all are good.

My only "issue" with No Frill is the noise level. As is so common in restaurants these days, when things get busy, everyone has to shout to be heard. Sometimes, leave feeling as if we didn't really visit with our friends because it was too tedious.

Overall, this is a great place! Give it a whirl!
