“The ultimate gadget!”
Reviewed March 30, 2012

The USS Wisconsin is the ultimate gadget. 52,000 tons of armored coolness with guns that can shoot a bullet as heavy as a car and hit a target 20 miles away.

The bad part is that the ship is not as accessible as other museum warships (USS Alabama, USS Intrepid). You can't see the magazine, the bridge or the engines or get inside the turrets, but the admission is reasonable and the rest of the museum (Nauticus) is very good too.

“Beautiful and Awesome!”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

This unbelievable ship is at the same time beautiful and menacing. Its graceful lines as seen from the bow belie an awesome amount of armor and firepower. This was our second trip to the Battleship Wisconsin. Until recently, most of the touring of the ship had to be on the deck, but they are slowly cleaning up and restoring some of the innards, so the tour gets more interesting each time. The Nauticus museum, to which it is attached, is terrific, as well. Well worth the trip to downtown Norfolk!

“Huge Deck”
Reviewed March 27, 2012

The ship is well worth seeing if near downtown Norfolk. You pay $13 and have access to the navy museum and then also the ship. The deck on this ship is huge, standing in the front looking back is incredible. The general pass lets you walk around the ship, but to see more details and the upper decks you gave to sign up for a guided tour. That was really the only negative part. Enjoy!

“Nauticus and ship was Awesome”
Reviewed March 25, 2012

Being a Plank Owner and returning to the ship broght back alot of memories. The tour was great and can't wait for more of the lower decks to be opened up. It should be for warned for people not to wear flip flops or sandles if taking the tour. The cost for the tour is kind of pricey and should be change for the plank onwers to free. Over all it was a great tour and I will be going back.
