Parking is not hard. Admission is free and the exhibits are pretty cool. Not a big MacArthur fan normally, but you get to know him pretty well from this. Still not sure what his tomb is doing in Norfolk.

The MacArthur Memorial commemorates the life and times of one of the most famous generals in American history. The museum is a thorough discussion of his life and the ups and downs of his career.
For anyone who is interested in WW II or military history in any way, this museum and its story is unique.
The museum is conveniently located and easily accessible with the introduction of the Tide system in Norfolk.
The building housing the museum is an architectural gem, having been designed by Thomas U. Walter, designer of the dome of the US capitol.
Many restaurants and shopping are very close by making a visit here have many facets.

Park at the mall, Dillard's side and walk over. Donations only. Start with the movie in the new building and then go to actual memorial. Well laid out, organized, clean, nice bathrooms. We all learned a lot and didn't regret going. Was MacArthur who brought back the Purple Heart medal and gave it its nickname (fun trivia tidbit)

I went to the MacArthur Memorial and Museum as an afterthought after going to Nauticus. Provides a very balanced reflection of MacArthur. Spent just over an hour here and an easy walk from the USS Wisconsin
