We did not tour the house because we were enjoying the gardens and the beautiful views of the water but what we did see inside was beautiful. The garden was a perfect place for a picnic...definitely a nice, relaxing spot that was not over-crowded!

“Lovely Small Museum Along the Lafayette River”
Reviewed January 29, 2012

Beautiful collection, great grounds on along the River, and peacefully hidden in an upper end neighborhood. Good place to have a picnic. Amazing that it is so near the International Terminals where the container ships land.

“A hidden gem.”

A lovely unique home on the waterfront. A real treat to see the ecletic collection. The grounds are well kept, nice to walk and relax.
