Loads of rides, not as much queuing as Drayton Manor or similar in this country although we went on an overcast day. Every ride v good, none disppointed. Every size of child catered for - our adventurous tallish 5 year old was allowed on all the rides because she could swim, but for tamer children would enjoy the "toddler" area up to the age of 4ish.
Quite pricey to get in, although deals are available with travel agents and from leaflets you can pick up in the airport / hotel. Two day deal definitely worth a look.
Buses available from all over the Algarve but its not that cheap - we were only ten minutes away and it was E4.50 per person so if you've hired a car its probably better to drive.
We would definitely go again because - no equivalent in Britain (too da*ned cold!), rides were really good fun and kids had a wonderful day.

Book online to avoid the queue at the gate. The locker fee of E5 + E2 deposit seems steep but you do need to do it as there's no way you can carry everything round and still enjoy the rides. If we went again I'd hire a ring too - means you can go round and round the raging rapids, Sooooooo much fun!
Take food - restaurant and cafe overpriced and long queues.

My boyfriend and I spent a very enjoyable day at Aqualand in June 2010. There are lots of rides, flumes, racing rides, lazy river, rapids, wave pool, childrens pool and a couple of scary rides - the Kamakaze ride is amazing (and terrifying!).
It wasn't too busy, and we didnt have to queue for any rides. There's lots of room for relaxing, lots of sunloungers (that you have to pay to hire) and grassy areas. They let you bring in packed lunches and coolrs of drinks, which is good because the cafe inside is very expensive. You can hire a locker for 5 EUR (plus 2 EUR deposit), and there are schanging areas.
A great day out!

Visited here in August 2008 and so expected it to be busy - and it was but you could still find places to sit and even a quiet corner or two.
Loads of different rides from Lazy River style to various scary ones with scarier names - some have age and height restrictions.
We went with our children aged 8 and 12 and they thoroughly enjoyed the day. They did have to wait in queues to collect a rubber ring which they found a little frustrating but then the queues for the rides that needed them were quite short. Inevitably there were queues at all of the rides at this time of year.
If you go look out for signs advertising cheaper return tickets - they are there but you need to look. We paid €67 for two adults and two children but were offered tickets to return on any day within the next ten days for a total of €18 - bargain.
Overall a well run, clean park that is very easy to get to - there is a motorway junction less than 2 km away and loads of coach trips from various towns and hotels.
TIPS:- Get there early - the coach trips drop people off the minute it opens and there is a long queue to get in
Pre book at a travel agent or similar - go past the big queue buying tickets on the door
Hire rubber rings - €6 per day but you get €2 back at the end but it allows you to avoid waiting to collect one after each ride - there are a limited number and they go quickly - our kids thought this was a much better idea on our second visit
Look for the cheap return tickets!!!

Amazingly fun day out. We are a couple in our early twenties and enjoyed the day thoroughly. We went in late June and hardly had to queue at all which was perfect!

There are many slides, my favourite being the Banzai Boggan (although not for the scared). You sit on a big surf boards and get projected from 23m high, down the slide and skim across the water - try and get to the end! Not all the slides are as scary as this though. There are also, lots of pools, kiddies and regular.

Look at the website to see everything there is. There are other water parks in the area, and i couldn't say which is best but you certainly will not regret a trip here.
