I wrote a review about this place back in December,
Wondering why it was removed?
Stayed less than 24 hours in this so called 3 star hotel.
The rooms are smelly
You had to choose your evening meal for the following day.
Like you do in hospital.
Wouldn't go there again
Wouldn't recommend to anybody.

The transfer only takes about 20 minutes from the airport. The hotel is located in a residential area.
Check in was quick and easy, we were given a room overlooking the pool as requested.
The room was quite spacious with plenty of storage. The balcony was small but served its purpose. At the rear of the hotel is a stadium and a skateboard park but there was very little noise. The pool area is quite spacious, however there is only about 20 sunbeds, however there was always plenty whatever time of the day. It was peaceful around the pool apart from barking dogs from the villas surrounding the hotel.
Breakfast had cereal, toast, fresh fruit salad, meat, cheese and hot options. Scrambled eggs, tomatoes, sausages and bacon.
Evening meal is a choice of fish or meat, starters soup or salad and a choice of pudding or fruit. All of the meals we had were very nice, you do have to order them the night before.
There is not many staff there and they do double uo on jobs, however they are very friendly and work extremely hard.
The bar prices are very reasonable and the measures are very generous.wi fi is free in the lobby.
Towels and rooms are cleaned every 2 days but this was not a problem for us.
It is a 5/10 mins walk to Vilamoura, which has pkenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Quarteira is 10/15 mins walk, the prices are much cheaper here.
The beaches are to die for, very clean and go on for miles.
It is a budget 3 star hotel but it serves its purpose if you just want a comfy bed, nice pool and nice food this is the place to stay.

Stayed here for a week in April and it was the worst hotel that we have stayed in . We went out our first night and when we when back too the hotel we couldn't get back in our room so I went to the reception to try and explain but they did not speak a word of english and they jst laughed at me apart from that the dampness in the toilet was discusting. All staff where very ignorant.

no,no.no !!!!! Under no circumstances book a holiday at this supposedly 3 STAR HOTEL!!!!!!!!!! Having just returned from the Praia Sol Hotel in Vilamoura, on a two week half board with third week room only, I have to say it is one of my worst experiences ever. The Hotel is being run on a shoe string with a maximum of 5 staff in the whole place at any one time. One maid for forty rooms hence on Wednesdays Saturdays and bank holidays our room was not serviced a all. It was a new experience paying to make my own bed.!!!!!! When the room was attended to it was on ly the bed which was made and clean towels ,if necessary. For the entire three weeks the bathroom ,toilet, floors dressing table etc were never touched. There was also mould on the bathroom ceiling and light bulbs missing.
Half way through the holiday I was in the supermarket purchasing rim blocks for the toilet. The staff spent their time trying to run reception bar, kitchen and restaurant as demand required, consequently service like everything else left a lot to be desired , the food was well below standard again prepared on a very low budget,so very basic and unimaginative. I objected to ordering my meal for the next day the night before.
Although the hotel is not responsible for who frequents their rooms they have a responsibility to keep standards high befitting a three star hotel. The drunkenness ,fighting in corridors in the early hours and appalling language is something no one wants to experience on a holiday.
Unfortunately there seemed to be no one at the helm to control this. Reception was open 24 hours and very poorly manned overnight so anyone could walk in unchallenged-a risky business in the world we know today.
I feel very strongly that this hotel is still being advertised by Mercury holidays the company through which we initially booked and also the of help on site from Windsor Travel when we asked if we could change hotel, they said they could help us if we payed a further 1000 euros-not good enough.During our stay we were made aware of two other couples who had request to change hotels from where they were staying to our hotels. They were both asked to pay for the change. The manager of the Praia
Hotel also runs another Hotel in albufeira from where these people had come from.
In would seem that if you dare to complain you will end up paying for two holidays which take place at the same time.
Although our Hotel is beautifully situated in a quiet area near to beach and Marina go there at your peril!!!!
