We booked a week in the middle of December in order for us to celebrate two events.
The hotel was clean. The food, although not wonderful, was good. There was a choice of either their meal of the day (3 course for 7.50 euros), or snacks, which were a bit more than a snack and a good range of dishes. The staff were okay and mostly friendly, although we did notice that not many people in Portugal wear a smile very easily.
The service could be a little slow, because of a staffing issue.
The bar prices were good. Port/Madeira 3 euros; beer 2 euros for a half litre(which they call a pint), etc.
As we were there just before Christmas, we expected it to be quiet, which it was, until the last couple of days, when a fair number of Brits turned up for their Christmas break.
The area in which the hotel is situated is a little run down, and what looked like very expensive villas, have been squeezed-in by apartments, and are guarded by dogs, which do bark when it gets dark, but are quiet during the night.
The walk to the beach was okay, and from there to the marina at Vilamoura and/or the prom at Quarteira, were an easy and pleasant walk. The walk into Town and/or Vilamoura along the roads was maybe 15 to 20 mins.
Overall, if you want a clean, Ibis type of hotel, then this one is ideal. The only difference was that there were no drinks facilities in the room.
Overall, I would say that you get what you pay for. It is a clean 3 star hotel.
We would not go back, only because we don't repeat holidays. If we did, then we probably would think about this hotel again.
