The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

Thank god it was for only one night. But that was to long

The food and service was disgusting.

At breakfast they ran out of coffee cups, glasses and butter. And then brought them out 4 at a time when people had finished

The rooms stank of bleach and towels changed every 3 days. What a joke

And the pool was dirty and covered in leaves and other things

Give this a wide berth if you have any sense !!!!!!!

I traveled alone to Portugal and stayed at this hotel.

I paid £13 per night for 7 nights so it was a bargain. Room was okay, bed was small but very uncomfortable. Bathroom wasn't very clean and the plus sockets where a bit dodgy.

Wanted to sunbathe early when sun was out as had storms for first few days but wasn't allowed out to the terrace till 10am.

Breakfast was awful, i wouldn't feed it to a dog! Glad i didn't pay for AI.

No evening entertainment available.

Drinks where quiet expensive when not on AI.

All in all okay for a cheap week away.

When we arrived, drenched from a storm at 11am, we were told we couldn't check in until two pm. We realised later that this was because the cleaners arrive in a van, having cleaned other hotel(s) first. The staff that work in the hotel try their best, but work very long hours, and all seem under pressure, and the season hasn't started yet ! Firstly, the room was neat and clean, with a safe which you pay a 15€ deposit for. Towels are provided, two small, two large, and a small selection of toiletries. Large sign points out that if stains don't come out of the towels, you will be charged. No hair dryer, or tea making facilities, small TV, with one Channel ( News ) in English. We had a balcony, with a view of the large hotel in front, (so no view.) One of the lifts broke on our last day, the only one that went up to the eleventh floor. The food was pretty bad most evenings, odd mixture of Brussels sprouts mixed with mushrooms, dry fish pie and runny mash, or tough - maybe beef as a choice for the main. Some nights it was slightly better, but it was a bit like school dinners. Get your dessert first, which was the same every night, they run out fast. The salad was fresh, but you had to wait a while for everything to be replenished. Evening entertainment - zero. You can walk along the beach area for fifteen mins, and you reach a small town, where you can find reasonable food. The bar was limited, no Rosé wine, and if you order coffee the barman disappears for ages to make it, leaving a big queue. If you stay here, book up trips and things to do, otherwise it's literally sit in the bar area and chat amongst yourselves. Sadly disappointing experience, but the trips out made up for that !!

Room Tip: Don't go on the eleventh floor as only one lift goes there, and they are tiny !!! Ask for a bal...

our room was a dull dark blue & mustard colour which made it look gloomy, even in the sunshine!
bathroom was tired & grubby, although adequate, just, the rest of the hotel carried on living up to this, which made the 4 days drag! getting served at the bar took perseverance, and a sprint to find someone as staff were very thin on the ground, and tended to try & hide rather than come out to the bar! I did the usual, gave a good tip first day, after that I got served, many more were not so lucky! The food that is a complete chapter on its own, as was getting a seat in the dining room! it is a tiny room so you have to queue for a table at busy times, food is the cheapest cuts, fish fingers etc, slow replenishing, so more queues, food appart from the salad was of a local primary school standard (I know I was a school cook many years ago!) so if you didn't enjoy salad you would be very hungry. Breakfast was basically deplorable, One tea / coffee machine that kept packing up tea tasted of coffee the one time I did brave the queue & elbows of the other guests! we made do on toast & water then went across the road to a local Cafe used the Fast wifi & had decent coffee! the hotel wifi is only available in the lobby & is so very hit & miss as there is a demand, probably to complain to the tour operators! I can only blame myself as I was a DIY as I usually avoid tour operators! Perhaps someone to complain to would have been better this time than having to give a poor review.

Room Tip: avoid pay a little more to go elsewhere!

The staff were supportive and friendly. The hotel was very clean and good food. This hotel is situated in front of the beach and amazing view from the room. We could go sightseeing and the tourist bus would pick us up from the hotel and drop us back to the hotel. The location of the hotel is near the centre to the city. Unlimited food and drinks was available and affordable. Highly recommended hotel for its reasonable and trustworthy staff.

Not a bad hotel. The hotel itself was clean except the pool which was disgusting. No one would go in it. We ask for it to be cleaned and was told it was barman job. It was very very green on the sides and bottom. The staff were on the whole friendly. We went AI which finished at 10 pm which we thought was a bit early. Didn't mind to much as there was no entertainment at all not even back ground music. The food was OK. Only two choices plus salad every meal. Never enough cups tho. we ended up putting our coffee in breakfast bowl at the suggestion of the waiter.
