Owner description: The Aquashow Park is the best and largest Water Park and Theme Park of Portugal, in Algarve, in Quarteira. We are open from 1st of May to 30th of September from 10.00 a.m., with different closing hours depending on the month. In the Water Park you will find the greatest diversity of slides for all ages where the whole family can enjoy together. Each year we always open new attractions and 2016 will be no exception, we will inaugurate a slide, unprecedented in Portugal, where you will enjoy new experiences (for people over 1.20 m of height) and for the little ones we will have multiple new slides that will awake a world of water sensations. If you like to test your limits and adrenaline to the maximum, you have to try the biggest Free Fall of Europe, inaugurated by the surfer Garrett McNamara. The entire family will be able to enjoy many moments at the Theme Park, one of them will be on the biggest Water Coaster of Europe, among other attractions that are waiting for you. At the disposal of those who visit us we have different services: snacks bars, lockers rental kiosks, souvenir shop and photo service. We want you to spend your vacation and unforgettable moments with us!

We went to Aquashow Park and all I can say is that if you need vacation and have fun, Aquashow Park isn't what I recommend for an adult. It's amazing for kids, but it's very tiring for adults and most of the amusement stuff is for kids. Long queues for 1 minute sliding...

I liked the Eagle and Parrot Shots, where we can get them at the end of the day.
At my eyes needs some mantainence. I say some pools needing to be clean and water a bit dirty, and that isn't nothing people would expect on a Aquapark.
I didn't said I don't like it, I only see it as an experience for the younger people to enjoy, like having from 5 to 15 years.

We enjoyed a great day out with our teenage daughters in Aquapark. We pre-booked in our resort and got the Aquapark bus near our apartment and back. Great value for a fully packed day. We did not have time to do everything and will return on our next holiday to Albufeira.
We especially enjoyed the water rollercoaster, although I screamed throughout!! and the snake slide on the large ring for two.
The leaflet had advised to bring parosols and we were able to pitch our seating area on the grass near a tree. Food was fairly reasonably priced for a waterpark but we were also able to bring our own food and drinks which kept the cost down.
This water park is suitable for every age group as it has a designated area for under fives. There are many thrills to be had. Definitely worth a visit at least once during your holiday.

we booked in to swim with the sea lions through an independent advisor and they sorted out the transport from the hotel, tickets and swimming with the sea lions. what an awesome time we had! the keepers are multilingual very friendly and lovely lovely people, you get a good 45 mins with the sea lions and for 49 euros it's well worth it, the rest of the park is worth going for with a water roller coaster, slides and rubber ring rides, and 3 different animal shows (reptiles, parrots and birds of prey) each showing twice a day, you get to hold the animals at the end of the show and have a photo with them! its well worth the trip and you can get the bus from Albufeira
The bus drops you off at about 10 and picks you up at 4 and in those 6 hours we still didn't manage to get everything done, good fun for families and young couples it makes for a brilliant day out :D

This park is ok. But it needs to decide whether its a theme park lr a water park. Theres not enough rides to call it a theme park nor slides to call it a water park. Theres birds of prey shows and seal shows r which are a bit random. Its trying too hard to be a bit of everything instead of doing one thing really well. Its an ok day out but been to better parks in Europe.

My partner and I went to Aquashow when we were in Portugal (staying in the Oceanus - brilliant hotel), from the 1st to the 9th September. Locals advise to avoid, avoid, AVOID attractions like this in high summer as you'll spend most of your day getting sunburnt in looooonnnggg queues, but at this time of year its better with waits of around 10 to 20 minutes.
The rides are varied and fun - some leaving us more wowed than others - and the park as a whole is very safe with close supervision everywhere. Good for families.
Most of the food places were closed when we went (due to end of season, I expect) so take a packed lunch or snacks with you. Lockers available to hire for a deposit of 7 Euros. Most park photos cost 10 Euros but are very nice.
Swimming with the sealions: most people I heard say its fun but not really worth the money, but it is worth keeping an eye for photo sessions with the sealions for just 10 euros! The animals spend a lot of time in a smaller pool which is used for swimming sessions, which some people seemed to (stupidly) think was their actual enclosure - in fact the animals are healthy and stimulated.
Lots of areas for picnicking but take towels to sit on as people 'reserve' picnic tables when they arrive by leaving their stuff on them (which shouldn't really be allowed in my opinion but there it is).
All in all a fun day - we booked through Expose from opening to closing, which on reflection might have been a little too long for us but probably not if you have kids or go in high summer.
