Excellent long stretch of sandy beach and glorious walks with various places to stop off and try a delicious meal at a number of very good beach restaurants. Well worth a visit.

Very pleased at finding this beach as spent the previous day in Quarteira surrounded by fag butts and filthy water. The road to the beach is odd and bumpy but it's worth the juddery journey as once you get there it's peaceful and quiet apart from the waves of course. Was charged €14 for 3 sunbeds which was a bit more expensive than I expected but hey hoh we are on our hols! The restaurant Tempest was ok, we only wanted a snack and had to ask for the sandwich menu which perhaps wasn't what was expected as most of the other customers were having larger meals so some of the staff perhaps looked down their noses at us (not all though) Toilets were a bit of a mess so that was not great. However if you fancy a nice beach, clean water, less fag butts in the sand and away from the hustle and bustle then this is the place

Worth the long dusty drive down to this beach. Great to spend the day at. The beach has a restaurant called Temprus which is very good, but it is best to book to avoid not being able to a table. Plenty of parking.

Closest to Quarteira more city beach - umbrellas rentable as well as sun beds - but space available for a towel only as well. Water changes with tide - not that children friendly in some times of the day but at others Ok. Going east from Quarteira it is much more open beach - always possible to find an area with almost no other people within 100 meter. Pedal boats, standup boards, kayaks etc. are able to be rents in some parts of the beach - but you could be required to walk some distance to approach it (areas allocated for this incl. water area)

This is a very clean beach and you will always be able to find a sunbed and parasol,to hire because there are lots of them. The beach did not get over crowded on our visit and across the road there are lots of snack bars and restaurants where you can sit and eat/drink in the shade....
