“not ocean front, clean rooms, good service”
Reviewed August 1, 2011

Rooms are clean, mattresses so-so, breakfast is good. Rooms have balconies, but view is at least partially obscured in most rooms. Hotel is in the second row of buildings along the shore. Pool is good, relatively deep and clean.

While the hotel is in a prime location and cleanliness is fantastic, there are a few things that I expected to be a it better. This hotel was recommended to me by two friends. Lido is a lovely beach and resort with miles of golden sand to walk on.

Pro's:
location -100ft from the beach
Cleanliness
Staff very friendly

Con's:
Food - average at best. Very limited choice. Ate out half the time we were there despite being on a half board basis
Air conditioning - makes noise but does not work. I am very comfortable in the heat, but waking up at 6 every morning became tiresome.
Wifi- €5 per hour!! And could not connect in my room either way.
Noise - the cleaning guys start at 8:30am and have a discussion between floors via the stairwells every morning. It's like a second alarm clock, in case the heat didn't get you at 6am.

We stayed just one night, on a bed+breakfast plan.
The rooms were very clean on arrival.
Beds were rather hard, but that's personal taste. There's a tiny fridge available.
Elena the receptionist was very helpful and kind.
2 sunbeds and 1 parasol per room is included in the price.
Also free parking, for 3 eur extra you can get covered parking space.
Breakfast was a rather average 3*+ selection.
There seem to be 2 types of rooms, good and better but not much difference. I guess they were renovated in different years. Differences are like tiles in the bathroom, cupboards. PIN coded safe vs. safe with a key.
If you've never been there, the hotel is 50m from the beach and 50m inlands are shops, restaurants and bars.

PRO:
We got the baby cot for free. Nice gesture.

Small CONs:
Aircon went crazy/there was no manual how to control it -- opening the balcony door finally stopped it.
Paid internet... like 3 eur/30mins. Come on, everyone does it for free.

Overall it's a hotel between 3 and 4 stars, aiming for 4, just need to fix the little things.

Room Tip: there seem to be 2 types of rooms, good and better but not much difference

My fiancée and I stayed at Helios Hotel for a week-end in July.

The service was remarkable, with professional and kind staff. The hotel is building is nice and the rooms extremely neat as well. Rooms are not so large.

The location is good depending on what you expect: a 20-minute walk to Jesolo Lido main square (Piazza Mazzini). Not so suitable if you are a party fanatic, great if you don't care about partying (great sleep quality). Beach is a 50 metre walk.

Jesolo beach is not so great, but that applies to the town as a whole.

Dinner and breakfast are very good.

There is a number of bikes to rent. Unfortunately, they would need a more frequent mainteinance (brakes matter!), and this brings the overall rating from 5 to 4.

Price is low compared to similar hotels in Jesolo Lido.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with sea view!

I spent a long time researching hotels in the area and kept coming back to this one. We were coming off a weeks cruises and wanted somewhere to relax. The hotel was in a superb position half-way between the beach and the main shopping area. The food was excellent. At breakfast you were given a menu for the evening and chose you starter and main out of 3 choices. I am a bit fussy and there was only one evening I could not find a main.

It was the last week of the season and the hotel was not full, so it there was plenty of room to relax by the pool and quiet too. The pool was heated, so that was nice.

I booked this hotel myself, not through a Travel Agency or as a package, but there was a Travel Agency nearby where we booked a trip to Verona and Lake Garda. We went to to the local market on Friday and Venice twice with ease.

Would noty hestiate to come back to this hotel

Just returned from a week in the Helios, and the hotel is without fault.
Food excellent.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Great facilities and location.
The whole stay was immensely enjoyable from beginning to end.

We plan to return, and will stay longer next time.

We stayed at the Helios for one week arriving on the 25th July 2009. It is just off the main street and the beach. [20 yards to the street, 20 yards to the beach.] On the beach, the hotel has it’s own section [ just to the right] with free loungers. Personally I loved the hotel pool which was spotlessly clean and never too busy.

The rooms are all airconditioned [although the temp won't go lower than 21.6 degrees!] and cleaned on a daily basis. The rooms are quite small, but there is enough space and we had a seaview room with a balcony with table and 2 chairs and electronic shutters.

We stayed half board with continental style breakfast. At breakfast you decide what to order from that nights evening menu. This food is good - lots of fish, pasta, meat and any amount of salad you could eat!

The staff in the hotel were all very friendly, especially the night porter, and made us feel very welcome.

The rooms have a fridge and safe [payable to reception] although we were not charged the full weekly price for either. All drinks and snacks are signed for on receipt and also paid upon departure. We found the prices very reasonable.

We really enjoyed this hotel and the resort of Lido and the only down side was that we were only there for one week!
