Hotel New Tiffany's Park

Reviewed September 11, 2012

From my point of view the hotel is a gentle 3 star with clean rooms, delicious breakfast and a fine pool inside some kind of English garden.
I've joined this location several times during the last couple of years and it has always been a pleasure for me to have a warm welcome and a familiary atmosphere during my days at the New Tiffany's Park ;-)!

We stayed at Hotel New Tiffany's Park in July. The holiday was exactly what we wanted, somewhere to relax during the day, with bars and restaurants to go for entertainment at night time and places to go sight seeing for the occasional day time excursion. Tiffany Park was perfect for that! It is situated just off the main strip of bars so it's not too loud and busy when you want to relax or go to sleep. However it is just a two minute walk to the main strip so there is plenty of night time entertainment close by. Lido di jesolo is also very close to Venice which makes it easy to get to. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was lovely, with a very wide range on offer. There were four courses every night which included lots of traditional Italian food! Best holiday we've ever had, can't wait to go back!!

Stayed in this hotel in July 2012 and, although I would go back to Lido de Jesolo again, I would only stay at this hotel again if some changes are made, because the hotel itself is nice and in a great location for the main piazzas (squares) in Lido, and also in a great location to visit Verona, Lake Garda and Venice. However, there were some issues which I feel I need to write on trip advisor to make other people aware of. I have actually never felt the need to use trip advisor before, as I not generally someone who complains, and I have stayed in many hotels across the world, hotels with no stars, 2*, 3* and 4*, without any problems, but here goes.

One day when we went back up to the room we caught the cleaner/maid going through one of our rucksacks. There was thankfully nothing missing, however I am sure you would agree that I can think of no other reason why she was in the rucksack apart from with the intention of stealing. We did not tell the staff at the time as it was her word against ours, nothing had been stolen, and the owners of the hotel would have done nothing about it anyway due to the poor attitude they had shown regarding other matters. If you have already booked to stay at this hotel, don't panic, you can pay a 30 euro deposit for the safe for valuable, and you should be fine.

We also paid 26 euros for the week for air conditioning, and when it broke I went to reception to ask if they could fix it. There were scorch marks on the ceiling next to the air conditioning unit which was quite worrying. The female hotel owner then went behind the desk to the control box, came back and told me it was working. So I went back up to the room, it was still broken, I went back to reception and the man who was supposed to look at it wouldn't because he said he was off to have a coffee!! It eventually started working on its own again.

On the second night of our stay we were made to share a table with two strangers. I would not have minded this as it would be good to get to know other people, however the male owner of the hotel was sitting by himself at a table eating his own dinner when paying guests were having to share tables.

The main courses were disgusting. The choices were good, but I think the chef had had little training, as the main courses came out almost burnt most nights and tasted horrible. (another guest who had stayed at the hotel many times before did say that she thought it was a different chef than normal) I have eaten many foods across the world, but even I struggled. I think it showed how bad the food was when the male hotel owner sat each night in the resteraunt, but would not eat the food the guests ate, one night he had a mcdonalds, the other he had a steak which was quite amusing!!!! The pasta starters and ice cream were really good though, and it was only on our last night we realised we could have ordered the pasta as a main course.

On the plus side, the waitresses in the resteraunt were always extremely friendly, nice and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a great stay. The bedroom was also bigger than you would get in other Italian hotels, was comfy and was always really clean, and the pool area and public areas were also cleaned to a high standard.

I think the main problem with this hotel is the attitude of the owners. It almost appears like they have given up on the hotel, I genuinely believe they have lost their motivation and it has become an effort to own the hotel instead of an enjoyable experience. I come to this conclusion due to the way they were. I know it is challenging sometimes to own a business like this as you feel like you are working all the hours in the day, for sometimes little reward. It must have been really hurtful for them to lose one of their stars, but if the owners read this the hotel could be fantastic as the basics are there, I feel they just need to get their love of the hotel back, and that should be enough to bring the hotel back up to 4* again.

We actually had a fantastic holiday in Lido, and didn't let the above issues affect the holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a sunny balcony, which we did, and it was fantastic.

Stayed here 13th May for a week. How this hotel can be classed as 4 star I really don't know! The only thing going for it, is that it was clean! We were sold this by Thomas Cook Blackburn as 4 star..surely when you book via a travel agent the information should be checked out before sold?? Apparently not..so in future will book on the internet, usually do anyway, but because I hadn't been to Lido before thought it would be sensible to get correct information and pay Travel agents prices.. never again! There were 12 people in the whole hotel so rather quiet!
Lido itself has a very clean beautiful beach(thai ladies on the beach.. offering massages 15 euros ..well worth the money they were excellent) and plenty of shops restaurants etc.easy to walk round as very flat.. Venice easily accessible buy a ticket from any tobacanist 18 euros includes bus to port and ferry to venice (return). Verona trip good as includes Lake Garda (2 hours from Lido)
To summarise had we stayed in a better hotel that was indeed 4 star and possibly july/August for a more livlier atmospherere then a holiday in Lido would be good..but then again we wouldnt have met Shirly Alan (Ashton) Sylvia Dave (Preston) Terry Pat (Dunoon) who were great fun and a pleasure to be around ..thanks for your company you were all fantastic people xxx

Room Tip: Ask for first floor as the balconys are bigger

I would just like to stick up for my fellow colleagues and say that we don't disrecpect people we are old enough and mature enough teenagers thank you very much, and with your whole story of some of the students nearly jumping on your mothers head sorry love, but you may be getting mixed up maybe wrong or hotel or is your memory wearing off, just think you should rethink a better story before lying thanks, and we are young of course we are going to be loud we are teenagers not old pensioners, and we have fussy eaters on holiday with us we and woopty doo there was grape juice and cheese, I'm sorry but I have better taste and I prefer a better breakfast than that to at least get me through of the day, and for your information you will always get young people on holiday, just lighten up a bit please? And in my opinion you come across a bit snobby and up yourself so maybe try a 5 star hotel next time for your boyfriend and family members so you dint get a 'cannonball' on your mothers head again shame eh? Thanks!

I would like to write a response to the "lovely" lot from Glasgow, as a guest who was staying in the hotel at the same time as the school trip.
They descended onto the hotel like a plague, no body has a problem with people enjoying themselves, however a bit of consideration for other guest who have also paid and are on a well earned holiday would have been appreciated. As it is the Glasgow lot were rude and abrasive to the staff as well as one of them also almost drowning my mum when they cannonballed practically on top of her head. There is a safety barrier separating the kiddy pool from the main pool, the members of the school trip decided it would be a good idea to climb on this metal barrier and launch themselves from it, the hotel staff had to repeatedly ask them not to do this, because had one of them injured themselves it would of course been the Hotels fault not the Idiot who had been throwing themselves of a wet metal fence.

And as the the comments about the breakfast, what a total and complete lie! Were you unable to see the three large drinks machines with orange juice and grapefruit juice or perhaps you missed the large table in the centre of the room piled with salami, ham and cheese as well as an assortment of cereals and bread rolls.

I would like to thank the school from Glasgow on behalf of myself, boyfriend, parents and our family friends who were all staying in the hotel at the time that this rabble arrived, for ruining our holiday at the New Tiffany for the days that they were there which luckily for us wasn't too long.

we stayed in venice for a few nights and then moved along the coast for 4 days buy the sea.

the hotel is in a great location, about 200m from beach, and it has its own section of the beach with free deckchairs and sunbeds. The beach itself is lovely, nice proper sand and the sea is really clear. theres pedalos with slides for 10 euros for an hour too with other water sports.

It has a lovely pool which is in almost a garden setting which is beautiful, however there seemed never to be any sun reaching the pool area so we spent most time on the beach for the tan.

The breakfast was nice, all cold food such as hams and cheese, with bread, butter, cereal, yoghurts and juices.

we also stayed half board so we had an evening meal too. This was lovely, had 2 main courses and a pudding, and there was a selection of 3 for each so something for everyone. drinks were good price too with the meal, a big water 2 euros or beer 3.

the only fault i could pick with hotel was the date of the rooms and toilet. it wasnt terribly bad but the theme was a 70's red, and some of the taps and shower head were grotty.

would definately reccomend this hotel and location.

Many thanks for your comment and your suggestions!

We will provide a sign to let know our dear Guests that, when the garden is not sunny, during afternoon, from 03:00 a.m., the Hotel has a Solarium terrace, sunny till the evening, facing on the poolside and surrounded by high trees. Our fault if you did not know it.

It has been a real pleasure to welcome you.
