I recently stayed at the Villa Bordoni with my husband for a long awaited break without our children. If the exquisite countryside of the Chianti were not enough, we were so lucky to have found this gem of a hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving the place a real family-run feel. Our room was beautifully decorated and we were made to feel completely comfortable.
The restaurant chef is incredible and we had the luxury of being served the best of Tuscan food at reasonable prices without having to take risks with local restaurants. Fantastic wine list too, and we were given great advice on where to go for tastings.
I look forward to returning soon.......

The Villa is a true tuscan dream. We had a fantastic weekend staying at Villa Bordoni. The people were friendly and welcoming. The service was outstanding, we were truly spoiled. The restaurant in the hotel saved us having to travel far for fine dining, food and wine sensational. We will definitely be back.

I stayed at the Villa Bordoni, for the first time, for 4 nights over the Easter weekend. It was truly a great experience. The Villa is beautiful, nicely appointed, very clean (I am a clean freak). The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive and personable. The location is just outstanding ... a couple of kilometers from the cool towns of Greve and Panzano ... as well as within jogging / walking distance of the beautiful, old hill town of Montefioralle (which has a great local restaurant). We got up most mornings and jogged the narrow rural roads, saw the area during the day, and usually had dinner at the Villa's very good restaurant. Perfect relaxing time. Would also recommend a visit to the nearby vineyard of Vecchie Terre di Montifili.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Veranzzano room ... which was very nice. Not sure of the other rooms.

My wife Susan and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at the Villa Bordoni 2 1/2 years ago....and absolutely enjoyed everything about it (beautiful location, beautiful rooms in the hotel, outstanding restaurant, and terrific staff). While visiting our daughter, who is studying in Florence, we decided to take all three of our daughters (ages 22, 20 and 17) to Greve to show off the Villa Bordoni. They all loved it as well!

Although we were only able to stay one night...we made the most of it....walking the grounds...walking down into Greve....and finally enjoying a terrific happy hour and dinner at the hotel (best Florentine steak of our entire visit)! The restaurant is small which allows you the opportunity to have conversations with people from all over the world...great times!

Had the opportunity to visit with David (owner) over dinner...it was great to catch up with him again!

We enjoyed the Villa Bordoni as much as our last visit...we will be back!!!

Thanks to all for another great visit!

The Roberts

Room Tip: We have been in 3 rooms...all beautiful

In our recent trip to Tuscany, we stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel. Unfortunately we were very unlucky with the weather (beginning of march, anything can happen I guess) and caught rain most of the days, but the coziness of the villa, and our very tastefully decorated and comfortable room (I would like to mention that I’m an interior designer and very hard to please in this sense!) made our visit fun and relaxing. An extra perk was the shower, blending antique tiles, a gorgeous view to the chianti hills from a charming tiny window, and the high tech water jets! As we were traveling with our 2 year old son, it was easier for us to stay in for dinner every day – and we absolutely loved the food, the wine (!) and the service. The staff was great at making us feel right at home – always present yet never obtrusive – and also gave us great suggestions as to what to visit in the area (including the longest winery visit that we could possibly imagine!).

One thing that we didn’t get to enjoy was the beautiful swimming pool - because of the weather, which makes me look forward even more to our next visit to Villa Bordoni! I strongly recommend it to anybody who’s looking for a real spoil…

My wife and I have visited Villa Bordoni every year since 2008 and think it's one place everyone should visit at least once. It's definitely our favourite location. Initially my wife and I went as a couple and it's an amazing romantic location. Now we've got a 2 year old (plus another on the way) and the venue couldn't be more accommodating and child friendly.

The hotel is set in amongst the Tuscany hills and is only accessible by a dirt track, which makes for a fun adventure especially the first time you visit. The grounds are beautiful and ultra relaxing. The pool has a grassed area around the edge and various terraced levels for sunbathing. The only thing I'd change about this whole place is to have a heated pool. Only because the kids can find it a little cold sometimes (everything else is perfect!).

The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They've never disappointed over the years. The food is amazing and the restaurant is a must. The breakfast experience is hard to top - sitting on the veranda, sun shining down, looking out over the vineyards. They are always happy to accommodate if there is something you wish to eat or the kids just want something simple. The latte's are unbeatable!

All the rooms are beautifully decorated and the showers are amazing. Our fav rooms are the Colognole Suite and the honeymoon room. The Family Suite is great because it has 2 bedrooms and a living space downstairs.

What Bordoni gets right is the balance correct between a luxury hotel and friendly team.

Room Tip: The Family Suite with 2 bedrooms and a living space is great for families.

This place was a sweet surprise. The location is so beautiful - in the hills of Tuscany - with olives and grapes everywhere! The rooms are very comfortable and unique with amazing bathrooms, beds, and amenities - huge DVD collection, in-room FREE wireless internet, and iHome iPod speakers! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks, Ricardo - you are the MAN! The restaurant was cozy and served exquisite cuisine and delicious wine. The whole experience was an 11 on a scale of 10. We will be back for sure - hated to leave.

In reading other reviews, its hard to accept that anyone would have even one bad thing to say about this place. Some people just suck.

Room Tip: They are all special, but our favorite was the Montefioralle room.
