Beautiful and peaceful location, great hotel with large rooms, very good restaurant. The menu was limited but everything we ate was good. Every meal was made extra enjoyable by the comedy team of Hugo (staff) and David (owner). I think Hugo might be the best and most personable waiter I have ever had.
The inn is set in a location that gives you the opportunity to see how both olive groves and grape vines are harvested. You have a sense that you are the lord of the manor travelling out to your fields to check on them each day. The roads to and around the inn are tiny little dirt ribbons that add to this feeling of intimacy with the land.
The location is close to Florence and the hill towns for exploring and shopping, so you are close to exciting big city life if that's what you crave. My only complaint of the trip was not with the inn but with the town of Greve in Chianti. It's nicknamed "Chianti-shire" because it's full of Brits and Americans. I wanted to see Italians!More
