This rental is fairly new, and is built for tourists. There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, which worked well for our group of 9. The showers are extremely small, which is common in Europe. Same with the beds. We did not use the air conditioning the first few nights because it cooled off overnight and was comfortable to sleep - except for the mosquitoes! We wound up having to turn on the air because most of us were getting eaten alive by the insects. That's not specific to this unit or to Greve, but just beware. The owners of the house were extremely helpful, both before and during our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped and the common areas of the house were large enough to accommodate us all. The pool was COLD, but one of our gang braved it. She said it was lovely. There is a washer, and several drying racks (no clothes dryer). The walk to town is STEEP, but good exercise. One of our requirements was to stay in a place within walking distance to town, and this house fit the bill. Greve is a lovely town with anything you could want - restaurants, shops - and a variety in both of these areas. The Greve wine festival is the 2nd weekend in September, and in the neighboring town, Panzano, there is a wine festival the 3rd weekend. It's a lovely time to visit, and this house would make a good base for these travels. The bus to Florence and elsewhere picks up at the bottom of the hill.
