Chiantiandart

Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Your experience in 'Chiantiandart' can be a quick visit: a wine tasting, a visit to the cellars and a tour in the park, a look at the art exhibition of iguarnieri's works, contemporary frescoes and sculptures, as well as a small guided tour among the various stages of wine production with the finally tasting of our wine production (i.e. Chianti Classico 2011, Chianti Classico Riserva 2008, IGT 1 ST 2010 made of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Malvasia and Trebbiano, an IGT S.T. 2011 made of 100% Sangiovese, a Vin Santo of our limited production) accompanied by Tuscan salami, cheese and other specialties expressly prepared for you. Otherwise you can take the opportunity to have lunch or dinner with Rodolfo, getting closer to the traditional Tuscan and Florentine cuisine while enjoying the true meaning of the Sangiovese grape. In spring and early summer black truffles grow in the park of the Villa and are really an interesting surprise for the palate! You can find a limited production of hand frescoed bottles of Super Tuscany in the wineries. Upon request, you can spend a day with the masters Roberto and Rodolfo following a lesson of fresco (ART EXPERIENCE iguarnieri) realizing your own work!

We visited this vineyard as part of a wine tour in Tuscany. Our host was very welcoming and an accomplished artist. Enjoyed a beautiful morning trying wines with the table full of appetizers he provided. Would highly recommend!

“Stunning Villa Views, Foods, and Wines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013

The country home of artists Rodolfo Iguarnieri, this villa is simply stunning, and the hospitality is simply grand.

We came here at the tail end of a wine tour through the Chianti Classico region, having wined and dined at some of the finest vineyards for the preceding eight hours. Rodolfo warmly welcomed us, showed us his very modest wine-making operations (he only bottles something like 7-8,000 bottles a year), and proceeded to give us a tour of his villa, overflowing with the artwork of him and his brother, Roberto.

From there, we sat in his grand dining room (on less rainy days, he hosts on his beautiful patio) and were served some of the finest cheeses, meats, chocolates, and, of course, an entire flight of his wine collection.

We left with several bottles (including some that had been hand-decorated in the painted-fresco style that Rodolfo uses in his larger works) and ear-to-ear grins. If you're wine-tasting in the Chianti region, or simply in Florence needing an escape from all the other tourists, Rodolfo's villa is an excellent way to spend an afternoon.

“Wonderful winery in Tuscany (Florence)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

My husband, daughter and I had the pleasure of touring the Torre Alberghieri on 5/3/2013. We were taken there by our tour guide, Michele Collaca. Our experience was amazing. The brothers Rodolfo and Roberto first gave us a very interesting tour of the vineyard then took us into the villa and gave us the most delicious tasting of wine. They served each glass with different tastings of meats and cheeses and one with dark chocolate . We ended with a very special taste of vin santo. It was a truly memorable day . We all felt that this winery deserved to be recognized and recommended to anyone looking for a great place to visit in Tuscany .
