This agriturismo in the heart of Chianti is located in a beautiful vineyard with gorgeous views from our bedroom windows. Great location for visiting Florence and other hilltop towns with medieval piazzas. Afternoons poolside were delightful. The manager, Simone, is ever-present, helpful, friendly, patient and gives tours of the vineyard. The owners live on site. Wine available for purchase. Our apartment, Rosa Rossa, had a private outside dining table with umbrella, on addition to spacious living room and kitchen on the first floor. It was perfetto!

My wife Robin and I just returned from a fabulous week at Fattoria Viticcio in Tuscany. This agritourism property is grand. The setting is indescribably beautiful--looking out our windows at the magnificent Tuscan hills is picture post card beautiful. The apartment ("Red Rose")we rented for the week (2 floors, large living room area, and kitchen below, with very romantic large upstairs bedroom) was incredibly comfortable. The proprieters of the property and their associate Simone were warm, friendly, helpful and wonderfully pleasant to deal with. Staying at this location is a gift that everyone should give to themselves. Alan and Robin Peck

We stayed the last week of Sept here. The location was beautiful and in addition to being very close to Greve in Chianti we easily did day trips to San Gimignano, Siena, Cortona/Lake Trasimeno and the Chianti countryside. We also enjoyed the time spent on the property enjoying the pool and beautiful views. We were fortunate to be there during harvest and enjoyed walks through the vineyards and a tour of the winery in full production.. Our apartment 'Dolce Arianna' was very comfortable and met our needs...and the American style coffee maker was a welcome addition. Simone and the other staff were very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property.

We stayed a week here and loved every minute. Short distance from Greve with views over the valley of the beautiful Tusan countryside. Our apartment was beautiful, ad an easy place to while away a week. Our only concern was that the bed was very hard. Eating breakfast overlooking the vines is a delight. The beautiful pool was a welcome relief after a hot days sigtseeing, or just having a wind down day. Simone was an excellent host and the winery tour and tasting was a highlight of our stay.
Loved every minute of it.

We struggled to find the right agriturismo in Tuscany, so I scrapped my original search and looked at indexed DOCG properties based on the info I found on the consortium's website. My wife and I simply loved this place. We were traveling with another couple that felt the same way. After traveling around Italy, Tuscany was a relaxing, romantic, and surreal experience for us. Vitticio was very accommodating, tucked away on a quiet hillside with nothing around but spectacular views of vineyards and Tuscan countryside. Best of all, the location feels remote but if you need to go into town, Greve is a 30 minutes walk through beautiful countryside. In a car it's about 5 minutes. The Chianti Classico and super Tuscans were fab. We were fortunate to see the harvest in October. Simone was a wonderful host a great guide.

A lovely converted farmhouse with rooms and apartments on a working winery in the heart of the Chianti region. Simione who manages the accommodation and winery tours was very friendly and the team in the office halped us make arrangements for a number of trips. Recommended for a nice place to stay in a very tranquil setting

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Our agriturismo has been carefully restored to its authentic Tuscan farmhouse style, equipped with all the modern comforts. The apartments are located in the main complex and have separate entrances and private outdoor space. Guests have access to a saltwater swimming pool and a large garden surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The agriturismo is conveniently located in the tranquil Tuscan countryside just 30 km from Florence, the cradle of the Italian Renaissance, and 40 km from Siena, a stunning medieval town. A few minutes away is the charming village of Greve in Chianti, nestled in the rolling hills and surrounded by characteristic towns and sites like the 11th century Abbey of Passignano and the frazione of Montefioralle. Wi-fi, air conditioning, and satellite TV are available in all rooms. Viticcio has been making wine since 1964 among the rolling green hills of Tuscan wine country in Greve in Chianti, between Florence and Siena. The winery’s vinicultural production began with the desire to capture and embody the potential of Chianti Classico, and it wasn’t long before Viticcio wines became renowned for their true and high quality expression of the Tuscan terroir. Since then, the winery has grown to encompass 120 hectares of estate-owned land among the hills of Chianti Classico, Maremma, and Bolgheri, and it now produces wines from all three of these prestigious territories. Today we, the Biba family, carry forward the production of Viticcio winery, making wines that express the most authentic link between nature and man. We are driven by passion and enthusiasm to make our wines classic and elegant, yet with a fresh outlook on the terroir. Together with the indispensable help of our young and energetic team, we dedicate ourselves to producing high quality wines that express the Chianti Classico, Maremma, and Bolgheri territories with classic yet fresh style. We strive to produce wines that showcase all the nuances of this incredible terroir to its full potential. Our olive trees, too, are managed with respect and care, and the charming agriturismo is attentively curated so that our guests can experience the same authentic Tuscany that we love. Our team in the vineyards and cellar is made up of people who have grown up together in Chianti and share extensive experience in the field, as well as a deep love for the land. The respect and care we feel for our territory begins in our hearts and is transferred to the careful vineyard management and cellar techniques we practice. We honor the treasured traditions that teach invaluable winemaking knowledge, and we balance this with innovative technologies. Just as importantly, we respect the environment and recognize the essential need in leaving the land healthy and fertile for the next generations. Indeed, the vineyards have always been cultivated using organic techniques and natural treatments as much as possible. Since 2003, eight hectares of vineyards are cared for using biodynamic methods; and since 2013, our entire production has been totally organic. A wine’s high quality begins in the vineyard. Only by respecting the land are we able to grow naturally wonderful grapes to make an exceptional product. ... more   less
