“Monday night Banquet”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

We did the Monday night banquet during our stay there and it was the best meal we had during our entire trip. It started with a tour of the winery and views of the beautiful Tuscan landscapes. The hostess Frederica was so informative and well spoken. We then started with the wine, which, were very, very generous portions. All courses of the meal were served with a bountiful glass of delicious wine produced at the vineyard. We enjoyed every plate served to us. Each glass of wine was personally discussed with us, and each plate also came with a detailed description of what was being served. There was even live entertainment, piano & vocals, which we kept asking for more and he gladly played more. Everything was perfect. We had a great intimate dinner and it was the perfect last night to our stay in Tuscany.
Definitely a MUST DO, even if you aren't staying at the hotel.

“Chianti tasting with a view”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

Beautiful location with a nice view of the vineyards. A tour with info on chianti production was followed by a tasting of several varieties of chianti.(we weren't there for dinner) Nice wines and view with a good intro to chianti.

“Great wine and olive oil tasting”
Reviewed March 15, 2014 via mobile

Ines was super friendly and allowed us to taste many wines and olive oils. Her demeanor plus the location where da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa made this is a great place to visit in Tuscany

“GOOD SERVICE, THOUGH STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

We had our wedding party in Vicchiomaggio Castle in October 2012. The service was good and delightful, all our hosts were satisfied. However, if you want to organize a party there be aware of the poor professional skills of the Caste’s staff and of the landlady as well. It was impossible to gather simple information, such as the number of available chairs and, once gathered, it frequently changed through time: emails were very rarely answered, therefore misunderstanding happened quite frequently. The landlady seemed to forget all agreements and anytime everything needed to be discussed again from scratch. Prices are market average but she found the way to add uncommon extra charges for services, such as the use of the location after 5:30pm (in any case no later than 7pm!) or the different price levels for kids depending on age. Finally, it must be highlighted that we did not feel to be trusted at all when she told us that the number of kids she noticed was different from the one we had declared. The result at the end would be good given the location and the service, however if you want to avoid useless stress during the pre-wedding period, we would suggest you to evaluate also other options in Chianti, which is full of similar nice places.
