“Surrounded by hundred of bottles of wine you really taste chianti way!”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I went there with my family, it is a small restautant with a familiar, warm atmosphere. We could choose within a good choice of tuscan dishes and the chef was ready to invent a pasta with tomato for my younger son! You cannot avoid trying the "tuna of chianti" that in reality is pork... with beans and onion.
Very good also the starters (a sort of vegetable muffin with cheese) and the classic crostini toscani!
Don't leave without a cake chocolate or apple both fantastic!
Then you will taste a lot of wines (I suggest to taste differen glasses one for each dish!).

“A surprising gem”
Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

We were coming back from a big day trip and were seriously on the lookout for a restaurant or a pizzeria and found this gem of a place and am so thankful we did. It was terrific. Now given the time of year (late January) and a Tuesday night and at 9pm we were the only ones there and the service was great, but the waiter was attentive but not pushy. The meals were simply wonderful, my steak was delicious, the gnocchi dish very tasty and my husband had the liver dish (fegato) which he said was just like his nonna used to cook it - so high praise indeed. The wines are all on display and a great sampling of local (really local) are available which impressed us as well. After two desserts and complimentary liqueur we were very satisfied and will be back.

“Amazing Food”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

One of the best meals of our trip. We got a warm welcome and the knowledgeable and friensly owner talked us through the menu and the wine list. The restaurant is great with wine bottles everywhere. there's also outdoor seating for sunmer. We had two antipastis which were delicious a selection of salami and some tasty crostinis. For main we had the special pork and the steak - definitely some of the best food we've had in Italy. The meat is also from the famous deli shop in the town which was great for us as we wouldn't have had a chance to try and of the meat from there if it had not been for this place (or been able to cook it to such a high standard either). For dessert we had vin santo ice cream and chestnut cake followed by a delicious vin santo and the obligatory limoncello and grappa - definitely one of our best meals. Would highly recommend and hopefully be back in the future!
