Stayed in Il Borgo here with my wife for 5 nights in June. There are more Agriturismos belonging to this group, so you're well off checking or asking for a particular one in advance. See their site (not too user friendly) http://www.terralcantara.it/terralcantara/home/section.asp?iChannel=1 for details.
We fully enjoyed our stay in a suite (room 15) in the main building (see photos).
Advice: rooms 10-16 are in the old building (with larger 14, 15, and 16 on the top floor), the others are in newer buildings.
Staff were very friendly.
The food wasn't too great (you indicate at breakfast if you'll join for the fixed menu presented there), so we opted to go out for dinner frequently.
The location is great for visiting the Gole d'Alcantara river, and the hillside towns and Naxos beach (15 min drive) are close by.
The prices for drinks and dinner are not published on any menues, but the prices turned out to be quite reasonable on our bill at the end (example: eur 12.50 for a bottle of wine at dinner, where 1 liter of house wine in a pitcher was eur 7).

We left Tropea and rode the ferry across Straits of Messina to Sicily and drove here in our rental car. From previous reviewers we made sure we got to the park information place during business hours. They gave us a map to the manor house Il Borgo which was built in the middle ages with modern conveniences. Beautiful setting on a hill with views of the valley and lemon groves. We splurged on an Expedia special junior suite. Had a large end corner room with views from three sides. Canopy bed, walls done in soft pink. Francesca checked us in cordial welcome including Cappachino. Manor house had a pool, cool for us in October. Breakast was continental served in the large dining room. We ate at one of their other inns first night and here second evening. Food was good and lots of it. Sampled the orange, citrus and lemon after dinner liquors, good, glad we were not driving. This is a great place to relax after doing sights of Rome. It is out in the country with lots of agriculture near. We toured the Gorge and the botanical gardens associated with the inns.

My husband and I stayed at il borgo and found it to be a very positive experience. I was 23 weeks pregnant at the time and the staff were great. They were friendly and attentive at all times and no request was too much for them. Yes the hotel was a little bit tricky to find but the hotel sent us very good directions. The views from our room were beautiful, loooking down on the gorge and the orange groves. The rooom itself was big and spotless with everything we could want. Breakfasts were good with plenty of fruit, breads, ham, cheeses and pastries all produced locally. Evening meals were ok. My one quibble was that here was no choice but the staff always made sure that I could eat whatever they had planned to cook that evening. If you are looking for an exciting night life this is not the place. We found it the perfect getaway. Nights were quiet and relaxing. With naxos and Taormina a very short drive away you can have peace or a good night out. There was plenty to do from exploring the charming mountain villages to the more sophisicated towns of taormina and Messina to Mt. Etna. The local beaches looked as if they would be perfect in the summer. I would highly recommmend this hotel for the location, staff and views. With only ten rooms in the hotel you can be guaranteed personal attention from the staff. The pool was a good size on a lovely terrace which would be perfect in the summer for a nice relaxing glass of local wine in the evenings. I plan on going back in October with my baby for another relaxing break. It will be the perfect place to recharge my batteries after the rigours of being a first time mum.

We stayed at Il Borgo, one of the for properties that make up Gole Alcantara Agriturismo. Although many have suggested it was difficult to find, if you actually read all the instructions, it's not difficult at all. The room was big, clean and had a wonderful view. The pool was clean and nice. The staff were great. Many have suggested that the food was poor, I couldn't disagree more. Most of it was produced by Agriturismo. If you really want to get from it all, just go there and you won't be disappointed.

We stayed at Il Borgo for a week. Just what we wanted in terms of its rural location - lovely views whilst relaxing by the pool. The building is charming and the staff were friendly. The only real let down was the food - probably call it 'local rustic cooking' - you could eat it, but it was not particularly appetising the few times we ate at the hotel. We went into Taormina or Giardini Naxos and found good food, but you have to drive. Also can get excellent take away pizza from the nearest town on the Taormina road.

It was a weekend trip for us and we booked this hotel in combination with tuifly flight to Sicilia.
We knew that driving in Italy is not always pleasant but Sicilia topped this impression. I am not the worst driver - but when you are getting really clamped on highway from both sides by sicilians when you are driving 120 yourself - it is getting terrible. And they lough..

Hotel: this was the worst hotel situation from all our trips - and we are doing alot. We arrived at dark time to the given adress and stood in front of closed gate where not even hotel name was indicated. We should telephone with reception on the given telephone number. Nobody even spoke english - we were communicated to to different people until they have finally found somebody who could connect 2 words in english. After 10 minutes waiting the gate was open - but the hotel was not there. A alcoholysed woman sitting there - it was entrance to the Alcantara park -prepared a hand-written map explaining that we have to drive to the different building situated 3 Km away from the given adress. After we have finally found this building - situated away from the main road driving 1 km on the dusty broken road upward the hill we have finally reached the hotel. It took us 1 hour and many negative emotions to find it.

Eating: we booked with half board. After we arrived it was about 20 minutes after the dinner was finished. We explained that we were looking a long time but nobody was interested for it. We got nothing to eat. Here we should say that the dinner next evening was nice and the local wine was good and cheap. The selection for breakfast was VERY small.

Room: Nothing in common with what we saw on the picture in Internet. A dark unfriendly room with poor illumination. We could not even open the windows since everything there is closed with grids: windows, access to pond,- even the entrance doors are alsway locked - you have to ping and to wait till somebody comes - 1time we dieled 3 times and had to wait 7 minutes till we could enter to breakfast room. Very thick walls, grids everywhere - like in prison..
Environment: nature is nice - but all the neighboring cities is a pure catastrophe - ugly and fully unfriendly. Only big exception is Taormina - this is the place you have to go to. We also drove up to Etna. It is a long drive which is not really necessary. You can not see anything interesting on this mountain - black dirty stones everywhere. Old craters are not really sightseeing and to come to the central crater is only possible in summer and with special equipment and expensive tour.
In total - the trip was a full disappointment (except for Taormina).
Never again Sicilia !

We stayed in one of the possible sites in the Gole Alcantara national park. We stayed at Il Borgo Antico.
The hotel has wonderful views of the mountains and is surrounded by lime and olive trees.
The food was excellent, local produce and the welcome warm.
Our room was large and airy with an en-suite bathroom.
Even in October it was still possible to use the outdoor swimming pool.
