“A delightful gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 3, 2013

We arrived exhausted as we had attempted to drive without going through Piazza Armerina from where the signposting was excellent and made several wrong turns. From this poor start everything just kept improving. The staff were really helpful and welcoming and spoke English well or adequately. The €20 evening meal with 4 courses (no choices), but you could opt for less was great value and the included breakfast meant none of us needed lunch. Visiting the nearby Roman mosaics was straightforward and so enjoyable. We found the beds more comfortable than others, but if there were noisy guests it could be a bit noisy. The views from Salemi are lovely and star gazing and enjoying the sunset were extra bonuses.

We had a lovely time at salemi, it is quiet during the day and silent at night, which gave us all a perfect nights sleep. The food is good and the people are quiet friendly. The place itself is nicely done up, only four years old and very well maintained.

We arrived late on our first night of three were we had booked half board. We didn't get there until 2330 and were welcomed by the staff. It was easy enough to find the farm as there were good signposts along the roads, yes the road to the farm is a bit small and bumpy but nothing to write about!! The next day we were greeted with lovely scenery and a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and fresh food. As we had missed the dinner the night before we were provided with an amazing free lunch / lovely fresh local ingredients. The dinners were great but make sure you are hungry as there is plenty of food / we were advised plenty of times that if we didn't like something to just say and an alternative dish would be provided - we didn't change anything! My wife is a vegetarian and the chef and staff were very accommodating and her food was lovely, smiles all around.

The pool is large for a farm and we virtually had it to ourselves - sometimes felt like we were staying at a private villa. rooms were spacious and very clean with good showers!

All in all a great experience and would recommend

The reason for staying here was that we wanted to go to Villa Romana del Casale in the vicinity, so it was a one night stay.Location wise it's in nice countryside but quite a bit of a trek off the main road. Great views. Quiet and peaceful. It's actually more modern than it looks. Great welcome by the hosts. Nice large room and comfortable bed. If I had to be picky is that noise travels so if there are noisy guests you'll hear them. No complaints about the facilities. Breakfast was very good indeed, typically Italian in style. They do offer dinner and we thought as we were late arriving we couldn't order it - house rules state dinner should be ordered by 1000 but we were asked if we wanted to stay. It is €20 per person, not a bad price. I did have a difference of opinion with my partner who commented that the meal was somewhat plain but in my view it was fantastic value for money and delicious. The occasion was somewhat spoiled by the german couple next to us discussing me and my partner - note to non-British people we do not all speak English only, English is my 2nd language, and I do speak some German and Dutch but my partner is german.....

This is definitely a place I would recommend

I and my relatives and their families just returned from this paradise. The place is really relaxing and I propose this place for those who want to escape from their hectic life. The people at Salemi are very helpful and you will find them at anytime during the day for any help that you need. The moment you enter the hotel gate you will begin feeling the relaxation and tranquility. The pool area is very beautiful too and well kept. Pay attention to the last few kilometers (5 KM) as the road to the hotel gets very narrow and a lot of curves.

Room Tip: The rooms are all beautiful and tidy. Every room has its beauty.

We spent only one night here in early June and wished we had more time. We arrived early and were welcomed to our room where I was able to get some much needed rest. The dinner was absolutely delicious - perhaps the best pork chops ever! Breakfast was served in a relaxing manner and had something for everyone. And for sure don't miss visiting the Roman Hunting lodge - like no other roman ruins you've ever seen with incredible mosaic floors in every room.

We've just returned from a 3night stay at this magnificent agriturismo and we are already missing it... At first we found it a little bit difficult to find where the location was but STILL I HIGHLY RECOMMEND especially for those searching some peace of mind away from all the everyday hassle. (also all the locals are really helpful and they will surely show you out where it is) ... the staff/ owners are so nice and welcoming and they will immediately help you out in whatever query or problem you'd have... The food is also amazing!! Consisting of traditional and local ingredients (and that olive oil!! Hmm... a must try!!) ... last and not least; the agriturismo as well as location are impeccable!! ... un esperienza indimenticabile!! ... Eccezionale!! :))
