This is a very nice B & B in an old pink-painted country house with a lovely garden about 15 minutes drive both from the wonderful mosaics of the Villa Romana de Casale and (in the other direction) the centre of the town of Piazza Armerina. When we arrived after a hot sticky drive from Palermo we were shown a big double-bedded room with its own entrance and offered a bowl of fruit on the terrace before having a swim in the pool. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, there was wifi and, next morning, delicious coffee and home-made croissants (dusted with icing sugar, Sicilian-style) and cakes, fruit, ham, cheese, yogurt and so on. One of the other guests who'd arrived the day before had helped make biscuits. There is quite a major road within sight and earshot but, in a funny way, that just makes you appreciate the fact that you are in a beautiful place and not rushing off somewhere. Highly recommended!

If that is correct italian! What I mean to say, is that after several weeks of frenetic travel I arrived at Villa Clementine and RELAXED. It is lovely. Rita is a natural hostess - she is interested in people, generous and full of energy. Nothing was too much trouble. The house is beautiful, comfortable and welcoming to guests with lots of inside and outside options for just 'hanging out'. Breakfasts are amazing and at a big table in their family kitchen. Everything is clean. The pool is bliss at the end of the day when the weather is warm... so much I could say. Villa Romana del Casale is now pretty much completely open after the renovations and Rita's house is only a few minutes drive away. But you do need a car to get around, drive a couple of kms to town for dinner etc! Rita speaks good French and enough English if you make the effort to speak slowly - especially on the phone. The best place I stayed in Sicily.

Room Tip: The rooms are all quite different but I would happily sleep in any!

If you want to have a taste of paradise, you have to stay at Villa Clementine. It is a lovely house, with a great atmosphere. The lady of the house makes you feel at home. She is very friendly and makes the best Sicilian breakfast. The rooms are clean, cosy and come with many classic details. Also the beds are good, so you can have a good night sleep. In the garden you can totally relax. It's quiet, there are beautiful flowers and trees and there is a nice swimming pool. We had a wonderful time. Thanks, Arturo and Judith.

We stayed one night at the chalet in Villa Clementine. We loved the place. It is sparkling clean, fully equipped and Rita's breakfast is superb, the best we've had in Sicily. The house is beautiful but above all, it was Rita's helpfulness and good vibe that made the difference.
I would highly recommend this place.

We stayed at Vila Clementine for a week in the heat of August. Having a car, we were able to go on a variety of excursions - as far as Agrigento, and just down the road to the Roman Villa of Casale. We returned every day to cool, comfortable, beautifully furnished rooms; the garden full of shady corners, flowering shrubs and a pool which was often exclusively ours to enjoy. Apart from providing us with excellent breakfasts, Rita also made us lemon granita, which she served us on our sunbeds. What more could we have asked for? Villa Clementine is a hidden treasure and Rita a very good host.

Room Tip: We liked our room which opened on to the front terrace as it meant we could nip back and forth to th...

We were 4 couples staying at Villa Clementine for 3 nights. The villa and bedrooms are elegantly furnished and the surrounding gardens and pool are a peaceful gem for anyone who wants to chill out in a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly baked croissants and brioches, home-made jams and marmalades, fresh fruit and a different freshly baked tart or cake every morning. Rita is an excellent host and was always available to assist us and make sure we are comfortable and have all the necessary commodities. Would highly recommend this place, rest assured that your stay will be more than pleasant.
