Location Is amazing. Resort, golf courses, Sea, spa....The best. Prices are Crazy. SERVICE Is nothing. Food to be italy Is nothing again. People working Here sleep (in an amazing Place!), they do nothing to help you. A room For 700 euros per night And you Have to pay wifi! Are you kidding me?

We stayed in November for our honeymoon and the service was perfect. The sommelier Nando Papa took us on a great wine tour to Di Giovanna (great wine at great prices) and the hotel's cooking course is highly recommended!! The food was very good and wine. There was also a lot to do, the spa was incredible and everyone was so friendly... even the gardeners stopped work and smiled when you walked past! Definitely recommended for a quiet break off peak. We heard in July-August it was full of young families but it was very chilled out in November.

I never score a 10 out 10 ! Well that has now come to an end. Try as you will to find fault, your pursuit for something that doesnt have any standing at this establishment will leave you scratching your head , at what can only be described as a true treasure. A feeling of tranquility awash with a real feeling of welcome and comfort. There are not too many places like this out there and to think that golf is included in the package. Brilliant staff from house keeping to the front of house makes your stay very special. A true 10 out of ten. I cannot wait to go back!

Rocco Forte has spent a fortune creating this golf resort on the sea on the south coast of Sicily. I don't get how he's going to make it work financially (2 1/2 courses with only about 200 rooms) but that's not my problem. Not easy to find, and checkin is pretentious, but the rooms are beautiful and the facilities fantastic. The staff is well trained and helpful. We didn't play but the courses looked interesting and well conditioned. Dinner at the seaside seafood restaurant could/should have been better but breakfast was first rate. There certainly were other guests but the place is so huge, you hardly notice.

Very well run leading hotel of the world hotel. Perfect services as expected. The junior suite is very large, plenty of space for 2 plus a young son. Really nice sea view from the first floor. It is in one of the best golf courses in Italy, so very peaceful and quiet. Well equiped spa. Three restruarants offering a variety of food, all very tasty, even those simple pasta from the bar were pretty amazing. There is a very large kids playing area as well. We booked via Scott Dunn, and their nannies were fantastic. Also have to mention that the wine chief, Nando, runs a very personal wine tour twice a week to one of the local wineyard. Best wine tour we ever had.

The other reviews here say it all, especially that this hotel/resort is heaven! The room was modern with every convenience, the view of the sea was magnificent, the grounds were beautifully manicured in every way. The reception area, surrounding halls and restaurant returned you to ancient times, with large vases and whitewashed walls, as well as relics of great interest. We only stayed one night, the only regrettable thing about our visit. Reminded us of the Costa Navarina hotel/village/resort in Messinia, Greece.

Based on recommendations from Scott Dunn, we decided on Verdura for October half term. Initially I was hesitant about dragging 3 small kids to a rather isolated resort. But call me a fool because we will be back! The childcare was fantastic. My kids went running to the nannies every morning like they were rock stars. Which meant I had no guilt about actually enjoying myself for much of the day. The spa is wonderful, as is the fitness center. The restaurants are actually varied enough and accommodating that we only left for dinner in town once. And the staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. My daughter's birthday was celebrated by a surprise cake in the room along with a lovely note. They all greeted us by name and really made sure we were taken care of. But the absolute high point was the wine tasting adventure with Nando, the hotel sommelier. I visited a small winery and was not only allowed to eat grapes from the vine but then enjoyed a tour of the facilities and a private wine tasting complete with local delicacies. Fresh pressed olive oil and gorgeous wine in Sicily. Amazing. It was one of the those "remember for a lifetime" events.

If there is one negative (and this is picky), it's that the only heated pools aren't available to the kids after 2pm. Which is kind of a bummer especially when there were so few people around. But the days they were in the childcare, it really didn't matter.

All in all, this is Rocco Forte at its best. With happy parents. Happy children. Everyone happy. Thank you.

Room Tip: The grand suites give a kitchenette and spacious living room which was nice for the whole family to...
