it’s a nice place to walk around and admire the slight odd and different architecture. There were houses you could go into to look at how the locals live and also the bigger house with a first floor called Trullo Sovrano which cost 1.50euros to enter. Nice little shops with souvenirs and places to eat. Great stop for a couple of hours.

Trullo, trullier, trulliest as far as the eye can see. Energy efficiency before that was a thing. All those trulli give the town a Hansel and Grettel look. Fantastic.

It cost us €140 for four of us. One hour there and one hour at Turi and one hour back to Bari.
We picked up taxi at the port and the drivers name was Mimo (Dominic) he would have to be best taxi driver ever as he started singing a few Italian songs wow what a voice. He said he used to sing at weddings and parties. Turi is absolutely an amazing place, one hour is plenty to see every thing.

If you visit Puglia or go to Bari on a city break, this is a must see. Nice place to spend half a day visiting the village and the traditional shops.

Lovely old houses (you think you're lost in a Hobbitt village)
But avoid the area haunted by mass tourism.
Just a few streets away there are much more genuine and charming places actually inhabited by real people, not souvenir shops.
Not really worth staying the night there; everything interesting can be seen in a couple of hours.
The town itself is very small, "Main Street" is only a couple of minutes walk.
But driving around the countryside (or cycling...) is a great experience; you can see many "trulli" in their natural and beautiful environment.
