If you want to stay in a trulli when visiting alberobello, I would definitively recommend Trullidea. When asked about prices and options, the woman at the reception showed us two free trullis she had at that moment. Both were very nice -very well renewed in different styles. They both had a kitchen and a bathroom. There were even very cozy, nice bathroom appliances like body lotion and so at our disposal. We had seen other private trullis before people were renting, but to our surprise they were more expensive than those from Trullidea and they were not so well prepared. We loved our stay there - even if it was only for 1 night.

If you arrive in Alberobello you should sleep one night in a Trull. It is a special experience. We have chosen one of the most convenient option in terms of price and availability. Although generally I prefer spacious rooms I felt good in the small but well organized space. Breakfast consist of a Croisant and a coffee or a cappuccino in a bar at a few meters from the reception. A disadvantage of the complex Trullidea is that it has no parking. Near the complex there is a payment parking or, with a little luck, you can find a free parking space near the bar where the breakfast is taken.

standard room had all basic comfort,
breakfast is a serve yourself typical Italian continental breakfast, nothing special.
the location and authenticity of a trullo make it a great stay.

What I liked about this place is that it makes you feel that you're living in a Trulli, and it's something one must experience when visiting Alberobello. There was wi-fi in the reception, that was a little bit far from the rooms, but it's a nice minute and a half walk (with lots of tourists walking all the time). I stayed in a room alone, was must say that at night, I got a little scared being alone in my Trulli as the room gets really dark at night. One must prepare the breakfast in the room (so the lazy people might like this as they may have breakfast in bed!), but the choice isn't very wide (some croissants and biscottis are provided with coffee, cappuccino or tea). But the room was comfortable, be ware of some flies and ants that you could see in the bathroom (but there weren't a lot). I would go back to this place if I ever go to Alberobello.

The rooms are gloomy and the bed was really uncomfortable that I had a very bad back pain for 2 days! They don't serve you breakfast coz you have them all in the room (except the kettle or any other device to heat the water. They have some coffee but could not find how to prepare it without any device so we PAID our own breakfast) It's OK but does not worth 90 euros! Moreover, it was very noisy during the night that we hardly slept.

First, you need to know that it's an amazing place to stay, Alberobello, especially in a Trullo of your own.

Trullidea have a number of trulli throughout the historic centre. Ours was a short walk away, maybe 5 minutes, from their office and up quite a sharp hill so you need to be mindful of that. There is basically no vehicle access so you'll need to trundle your bags up to your trullo.

I had emailed ahead and enquired about accommodation and prices and received a quote back in return. Unfortunately when we checked in they did not want to honour that quote but we stood firm and to be fair to them they stood by their quote in the end.

Our trullo was huge, basically a three bedroom house complete with backyard, kitchen and bathroom. A light breakfast is supplied in the room so you can suit yourself about when you have breakfast. the breakfast was OK but nothing special.

The trullo was furnished adequately, comfortable for our needs but don't go expecting 5 star luxury. The kitchen was fully self contained but we didn't cook at home given that we ere there for just the one night. we found a lovely pasta restaurant just around the corner.

It was raining and extremely cold when we were in Alberobello - the beginning of the very cold snap that Europe experienced last winter - but our cute home stayed warm.

Two things I would say - Alberobello is a very worthy place to visit although I imagine it gets quite touristy at certain times of the year (it was very quiet when we were there). And if you are staying here then you should definitely stay in a trullo. After all, why would you want to visit here and stay in a boring hotel?

Given that, Trullidea is a very good place to go. The only thing I would warn you about is the parking is quite difficult and/or expensive in Alberobello.

I was charmed when I saw Alberobello, and I was equally charmed when I saw that our self -catering Trullo was bang in the pedestrian area now a Unesco Heritage site. Arrival and check in were very smooth and the girl in the reception office was polite and helpful.
The Trullo is tastefully, if simply, decorated with an IKEA cast iron bed and very little else. The kitchenette is mostly usable for cold meals as the electric stove took forever to boil water for tea.The problem, however, was the bathroom. Not only was it the smallest I ever saw, but the shower stall was so narrow that despite the curtains ( a clingy blue affair) the shower spray went far beyond the limits of the cubicle, thus literally flooding the bathroom and the adjoining bedroom floor. We tried to stem the flow with towels but to little result. In the end we accepted that we could only walk in barefoot and in flip flops ( still a very unpleasant experience). Another point is that when it rains or when you have run out of nightlife options ( something that happens very quickly in Alberobello) It is helpful to have communal spaces to spread into. The trullo, practically windowless and rather damp, got very claustrophobic.
