“Excellent light lunch!”
Reviewed June 3, 2012

We were expecting to be ripped off in such a touristy place but the food was very good, 2 courses with water for 10 euro each and very friendly service.

“Stopped by for a quick lunch, hoping for...”
Reviewed May 11, 2010

Stopped by for a quick lunch, hoping for a good pizza. Tried the Pugliese - with local onions - was very disappointed.

Not convinced the dough / base was home made, and the topping was bland and disappointing. My partner's pasta - orichiette con cima di rapa - was a little better, but still not great.

The prices also seemed a little high - 8.50 for a pizza napoli / romana (ie with anchovy) - usually one of the cheapest pizzas on offer at around 6 euros (in central Rome anyway).

House wine nice (Primitivo) but also quite pricy.

I know Alberobello is a touristy-spot, but I would expect that you could do better.

“Charming trullo dining experience”
Reviewed September 28, 2009

We had lunch there one day while wandering around the trullo quarter and enjoyed it sufficiently to want to go back for dinner. The place is charming with several side rooms typical of trulli, all brightly decorated. The service is friendly and efficient. The menu was fairly unexciting but what they do, they do pretty well. Prawns sounded like the most interesting starter but they were finished and my wife had the alici instead. For main she had the polpette (again, having previously had them for lunch). I had the scallopine which was fairly boring but faultless. We went for the best wine in the house at €12 a bottle which unfortunately was corked. Having said that it was exchanged for a fresh bottle without a murmer and the replacement was great and very good value. Would definitely recommend this for a trullo dining experience without breaking the bank.
