We stayed at Villa Valentina last week for 3 days and it was certainly a highlight of our trip. Paula and Angelo were wonderful hosts taking care of all our needs. We were very happy that we chose to stay in Levanto instead of one of the 5 towns as it just felt much more comfortable (and not so touristy). As many others have commented, to have the wonderful welcome snacks for us upon arrival was such a fun way to start our stay. The room was fully equipted with everything we needed, spices, oil, vingear, coffee, tea etc. It was fun riding the bikes into town everyday...a bit scarry at first but once you got the hang of it you felt like a local! The beds were comfortable all the ammenities were awesome.....oh and the fresh eggs everyday too!!

Paula set up a wonderful dinner for us high up in the hills, it was one of the best we had on our entire 3 week trip. We also got a quick trip on Angelo's boat and talked to the folks that did the full day trip and they all had a wonderful time.
Paula was so great she even helped me with a problem I had at another hotel we stayed at in Florence. I would highly recommend that anyone thinking of staying in this area you should consider Villa Valentina as it will be a wonderful relaxing and personal experience.

our stay at villa valentina was the absolute best! upon arrival at the train station, we were greeted by the lovely paula. she took us to the villa where a fabulous welcome awaited us...fresh focaccia, salami, prosecco and cheese. the villa itself was impeccable, the grounds, the beds, the balcony--all incredible! we fell in love with the place and paula instantly. we were treated like family and pampered beyond our wildest expectations. one of our favorite things about the villa was dina, the grounds/house keeper and her dog pepe. we fell in love with them both and treasured our daily wake-up to "ciao amores!" along with the basket of fresh eggs each morning. amazing! we took advantage of the well appointed bikes to ride into town and to the beach each day. loved that we could fill the baskets with focaccia, fruit and vino on our way home as well as tote all of our beach gear and found treasures to and from the villa. this was the stay of a lifetime. we felt like locals, family and so care-free that it was really hard to leave. we will definitely be back to visit our new italian famiglia! thank you paula, angelo, valentina, dina, pepe and teddy!

We'd originally planned to stay in one of the Cinque Terre villages, but are so happy we chose Villa Valentina in Levanto (just 4 minutes by train from Monterosso) instead. Villa Valentina provided us with quiet, beauty, and relaxation after walking the trails and visiting the villages. Paula has truly thought of everything: bicycles, bathrobes, Britta filter, a completely equipped kitchen, as well as a myriad of other thoughtful details.
Paula picked us up at the station, gave us a quick driving tour of Levanto ("here's the best greengrocer, here's where you can by pesto genovese, here's the best cappuccino") and then brought us to the Villa, where she treated us to an excellent bottle of Prosecco and an array of delicious snacks. There's a chicken coop in the garden, so we had plenty of fresh eggs, and about six types of tomatoes, as well as a variety of herbs.
On the day we left, it was raining. Paula and Angelo arrived to take us back to the station bearing huge umbrellas. Paula had even thought to bring us some focaccia to eat on the train.
Villa Valentina is the best place I've ever stayed. Anywhere. We'll be back.

We just spent a wonderful week at Villa Valentina in Levanto. After our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Paula who made us feel completely at home and relaxed. After snack and drinks we went with her to pick some fresh tomatos in the garden and also got some eggs. Never tasted better tomatos in my life. The rest of the week we kept coming back for more tomatos. The appartment is lovely and beautifully decorated. Everything is put together with great care of the details. Its just has everything: the kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear (we cooked regulary), some essentials for cooking (like oregano), the most delicious honey ever, i Pod with music, bathtowels also for the beach, bathrobes etc. Paula thought of every detail to make it comfortable. We were more than happy with the bicycles and can recommend the ride to the Bonasolla beach. One of the main reasons for our stay was to give our daughters some oppertunity to enjoy the Italian nightlife which they did. It was safe for them, the local bar Mad Max was closed (much to their dissapointment) but they still made some friends. Despite the heat we did some nice hikes in Cinque Terra. We very much recommend this wonderful appartment.

We stayed at Villa Valentina on our visit to Italy in July. It was by far our favourite spot on the entire trip. Paula made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. She had delicious appetizers and drinks for us to enjoy after a long day travelling. Our villa, Camelia, was gorgeous and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the fresh tomatoes, basil, and eggs. What a treat. Paula had fantastic information for things to do and see in the area. She also answered any questions we had. The accomodations were outstanding. Our family of four especially enjoyed relaxing and dining on the deck. We also made use of the bikes every day. A great way to get around Levanto, a great place to stay in the region.
Paula arranged a delicious dinner out for our family. As well, a boat tour with Angelo's Boat Tours was outstanding. Everything about this portion of our travels was amazing. Thank you, Paula. You have thought of everything.
We wish that we would have had more than four nights at Villa Valentina. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you Paula and Angelo.

Villa Valentina is the best place we have stayed in Italy. Paula, Valentina and Angelo has been so friendly and helpfull. The Villa is close to the town by bike about 1,5km. Easy to visit the town Levanto or take trains to Cinque Terre for hiking ect. We will come again ;)

Be forewarned, one big problem is that every place you visit after Villa Valentina will pale in comparison! Paula and Angelo made our visit fabulous. They where extremely hospitable and solicitous. Apartment was impeccable and the surroundings where beautiful. My daughter loved getting fresh eggs from the chickens daily as well as picking tomatoes fresh from the vines. Our only real problem was the time spent there was to short. Also, don't miss the family dinner with Erica and Douglas, that was a real treat. They are wonderful host and delightful dinner companions.
