“Exceptional Service from a Beautiful Family!”
Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

My sister and I stayed at A'Durmi for 4 nights (we could have stayed 4 weeks!) after a recommendation from our parents who very much enjoyed their stay at A'Durmi 2 years ago. You will not find a lovelier family offering boutique accommodation anywhere! Levanto is a lovely quiet town ideal to come home to after a day's sight seeing along Cinque Terre. The beautiful sisters who run the hotel go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay in the area even sitting down to map out an individual plan for each guest. The service is exceptional, the breakfast is great and the location is perfect. We cannot speak highly enough of this place! We hope to return one day soon. Thank you very much A'Durmi!

My new wife and I stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon, and it was just perfect. We had a nice room situated just off the vegetable garden, and upon check-in we got a nice one on one with one of the sisters that runs the place, reviewing maps, hiking trails, good restaurants to eat at etc. it was great to have an insiders tips handy. She also found out it was our Honeymoon and outfitted our room with a nice heart decoration and champagne. She even offered to drive us up the hill to the train station when we checked out. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice getaway in beautiful Levanto (easily can hop on train to tour Cinque Terre).

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay close to Cinque Terr, A Durmi is the ticket. Our group of 6 rented the apartment, two bedrooms and a kitchen sitting area. The rooms were clean and modern with a lovely patio area outside. An easy walk from the train station, the location is in the quaint old section of Levanto. Ran by two sisters, they go out of their way to provide information about the area that matches your interest. This was by far the best service we received in all of Italy. I highly recommended staying at A Durmi. I only wish we our stay was longer!

I agree with all written on A Durmi ! The owners really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible and nothing seems to be too much trouble. On site basement parking was a bonus. Levanto a good base to explore the area.

Our room at A Durmi was simple, clean, large, and quiet. It opened on a lovely garden patio that we wished we could have used more, but the weather wouldn't cooperate! But despite the clouds and intermittent showers, we had a very nice stay at A Durmi. It is located a short walk from the train station - perfect for visiting the Cinque Terre - and very close to all the shops and restaurants in Levanto. Chiara and Elisa are terrific hosts, and Chiara is a font of useful information about the area. We used the train to visit the picturesque Cinque Terre villages - easy and inexpensive, but not always on time! - and after seeing the crowds, we were glad we chose to stay in Levanto. It is more of an "regular" Italian town, with several pleasant, traffic-free shopping streets and a fine, park/ main square filled with locals in the late afternoon. It is a beach/resort town in summer, but in May it was very uncrowded and laid-back, and we enjoyed having a glass of wine at an outdoor table and people-watching. We would definitely recommend staying in Levanto at A Durmi if you are visiting the area.

Our stay at A Durmi was one of our most enjoyable on our trip to Italy.

It was reasonably priced and a wonderful, relaxing retreat in the historic old part of Levanto. Restaurants, groceries, and coffee shops were all a short walk away.

First, one of the sisters picked us up at the train station so we didn't have to lug our luggage downhill and into town. After a long day of travel it was much appreciated.

Second, when we arrived, the other sister, Chiara - who seems to run the place - greeted us and got us checked in, and then proceeded to provide so much wonderful information for us as visitors. She helped us figure out some hikes, and what to do on the first day which would be rainy and stormy, and she recommended a ton of great restaurants. In short, she was so friendly and welcoming that we immediately felt at home.

Our room was basically furnished but clean and comfortable and spacious. One of the nicer bathrooms of our trip. The room opened onto a beautiful garden courtyard where we enjoyed relaxing outside for the afternoon.

If you're visiting the Cinque Terres, which are one short train stop south of Levanto, I highly recommend staying at the spacious and relaxing A Durmi instead of in the crowded and over-touristed Cinque Terres towns.

We stayed at A Durmi seven nights in May 2013, our home base for hiking and visiting the Cinque Terre. What a wonderful place run by friendly, accomodating sisters Chiara and Elisa, and their parents. Our room opened out to a courtyard garden filled with fragrant tropical flowers, lemon trees and vegetable plants. Paradise! Plenty of relaxing outdoor spaces with tables and chairs. Room amenities are current, comfy and convenient to Levanto sites, shopping and the Cinque Terre villages--a quick train hop from the nearby station. No steps to climb on our return from arduous hikes between the 5 terres. What a relief! Chiara and Elisa were so helpful in advising us on our daily itineraries and giving us their locals' tips. Staying at A Durmi was the best place we stayed during our month-long Italy trip. It's out of the CT tourist fray, while providing a lovely, romantic vacation spot with a personality and character all its own. I highly recommend staying at A Durmi.

Room Tip: We stayed in the rear of the courtyard which was a bit more private.
