Our stay at Il Cannito was "simply wonderful" and we just cannot wait to return soon.
The natural beauty of the surroundings, the residences / rooms ( ancient farm buildings tastefully restored combining contemporary design elements and local materials and furnished elegantly with designer pieces and paintings by local artists ) and the setting of the swimming pool you never want to leave because of the view make this boutique hotel one of the most charming and enchanted places we've ever stayed....and the Gorga Family truly made our stay!
The breakfast and the prix fixe menu offered for dinner featuring fresh and seasonal local foods prepared by the family were scrumptious and delicious. On our second day we were able to book an exclusive and memorable boat tour exploring the Amalfi Coast through the family. What else can we say...we miss Il Cannito and la famiglia Gorga!

We were lucky enough to book a night - spur-of-the-minute - at Il Cannito after having read so many glowing reviews. We had high expectations, and really thought they could not be realized. In fact they were. From the exceptional hospitality to the exquisite setting, the sublime meal and the luxurious room (indeed, their jacuzzi tub is all that, as billed), it was a perfect stay, stimulating and relaxing, and we would go far out of our way to return their on our next trip to Italy.

Il Cannito was hands down the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Italy. The Gorga family, who own and operate this small and very private boutique property located in the rural countryside near Paestum, made our stay a very memorable one with their warm hospitality and outstanding cooking.

We were particularly appreciative of the impromptu private cooking lesson Mrs. Gorga gave to us in her kitchen!

there are no words to describe the beauty, comfort, hospitality and serenity of this place. A family run establishment, each one adds special charm and expertise to your experience. Nothing is too much work for them. The food was spectacular! Thank you Ana Marie and Santa! The service is amazing, warm and always willing to help! The rooms are modern, extremely comfortable - especially the beds, which in Italy can be a challenge! The linens were lovely, too! We stayed in two different rooms, and found both to be enchanting. I also loved hearing the braying of the donkeys! Pool is fabulous, with view of Capri in the distance. Heaven on earth...!

Room Tip: all are wonderful

The place is like nothing else. Secluded, beautiful and superbly well-managed. We stayed at Il Cannito for 5 days in the end of July 2011. The service is impeccable, personal and very friendly. The food is fantastic, from start to finish. The location and surroundings are stunning.
