Enjoyed our dinner at Al Pontile, best tomato and mozzarella on our trip and tasty pasta. Thank you!

We went here for dinner last week while on Ischia. Nice welcome by a fairly mature gentleman who might have been the owner? He was very sweet and look us through from the front entrance onto a little back terrace, which overlooked the sea and, to the right, the castle, which was a nice surprise and felt very romantic. We had a litre of excellent house red, mixed seafood, seafood risotto, and caprese salad. The risotto was lovely (I am somewhat of a risotto buff, always choosing it if its on the menu) very rich and well flavoured. It started to rain quite heavily during dinner, which was nice as we were cosily protected by a big umbrella, and got a stunning lightning show over Procida and the castle. When it started to really pour we were welcomed indoors to a table, so we weren't stuck in the rain. Free limoncello after dinner. I would definitely go here again.

We visited this restaurant while holidaying in Ischia recently and only discovered it, alas, two days before leaving so we had two successive evening meals there. The restaurant is a family affair with Mama doing the cooking and father and son the serving. They are a delightful family so eager to please. It is in a lovely situation on the edge of the sea with a lovely view of the castle which dominates Ischia Ponte. The food is excellent with a huge choice on the menu and Ischian wine is superb. It is a place not to be missed!

We visited this recently for the second time. Service is slow but no slower than lots of Italian restaurants. Interesting food and value for money. View is fantastic. Don't go on Sunday as the bus service from Ischia Porto is awful. The rest of the week it's fine. If its packed try some of the side streets of Ischia Ponte. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants there but they were full of Italian families having Sunday lunch which is always a good sign. We were lucky to get a seat as we arrived just as some people were leaving and a good few people were turned away or had to wait. Popularity amongst locals is always a good sign.

I'm still trying to figure out how Spaghetti con Vongole can have that much flavor. Perhaps it was the amazing product that was caught a good 10-15 feet from where we were dining. The family owned restaurant is well worth a trip for lunch or dinner. We paired our lunch with a local Ischian wine. A great experience and the weren't so bad either!
