Cantinando is a cozy subterranean restaurant. I would advise reservations, as there are only a small number of tables. The food, service and atmosphere were exceptional. Set below street level on a quiet residential road, Cantinando is a modern take on Ischian cuisine. The tuna tartare with passion fruit was bursting with flavor and perfectly fresh. The Ragu di Polpo (octopus ragu) was exceptional. The portions were generous, but not overwhelming and the quality top notch. The chef is proud of his restaurant and was out in the restaurant greeting customers. You can tell there is passion in the food. A perfect spot to enjoy exceptional cuisine in a magical setting.

Had reserved a table at this lovely little spot prior to our trip to Ischia and were not disappointed. The menu was fantastic and only topped by the enticing specials.... Tuna fillet and the sea bass pasta were the orders for the evening followed by rhum baba all of which was fantastic. Could not recommend this restaurant enough. Great food and service, plus homemade limoncello tomorrow finishing everything off.

We visited after looking at the reviews and all I can say is that not even these do it justice. It is run by a husband and wife team and they are both amazing and friendly. The food is sensational and some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Their specialty dish is Ischian rabbit and whatever you do, don’t be put off, try it. It is amazing and so rich. The desserts are also out of this world and it’s alk served in a lovely authentic setting. Make sure to book as there are only a few tables so don’t miss out on this!! 5 star!!!

Excellent and affordable experience. Great food great wine... the atmosphere was perfect. We recommend the rabbit, and the pasta with beans and mussels. Nom nom nom. They kindly split the pasta into 4 portions for us too! So sweet.

I’ve had Michelin Star sushi in japan. I’ve had steaks at Peter Lugers in nyc. I’ve had great food, and this was a standout fantastic experience. Get the rabbit, don’t skip dessert.
