One of my favorite stops in Italy. Simply gorgeous grounds and a truly inspirational experience. I am dying to go back!

We went to Ischia by ferry from Amalfi, after hearing great things. The island itself is very nice, and we enjoyed Poseidon so much we went back a second time later in the week!
There are a variety of thermal pools, and you work your way through them for therapeutic purposes. Apparently the water is heated by the volcano, and there are beneficial minerals in the water.
Mostly we just liked the relaxation aspect. The grounds are well kept and beautifully Landscaped. There is a nice beach with chairs and umbrellas for use by the guests. There are plenty of shady areas for when you've had enough sun. There is a restaurant (with excellent granite) and boutique. There are lockers for rent as well as free showers and changing areas.

went here with my mum during our holiday in Ischia in June. We booked through Thomson so paid 30 euros each. there were plenty of sunbeds. The pools are lovely and they all have a different temperature. It is very relaxing. we had a Panini and a beer in the restaurant and we were worried we might get ripped off but prices were very reasonable in there. it is very clean and well managed. you must wear a shower cap or swimming hat in the pools. the local buses are very busy to go there in the mornings and we left at about 3pm so missed to mad rush to go back in the evenings.

Poseidon is a great place to spend a relaxing day. We enjoyed dipping into the various pools and walking around enjoying the gardens. Swimming caps are required but can be purchased for about 2.50 euro, be sure to bring your own towel. DO NOT forget sunscreen, it is really expensive to purchase (approx 25 euro for an average size bottle). The pools are on various levels up the hill, so be prepared to do a bit of walking but the gardens and the views are worth it.

This outdoor spa has numerous geothermally heated pools, each held at a different temperature. There are plenty of lounge chairs around the pools, there's a great cafe, and there is also an indoor swimming pool. Go early and spend the day. If you can, bring your own towel and swim cap to avoid that expense.
