La Torretta Bianca

We went to Cave De Terreni as my grandparents were born there. La Torretta is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious clean, beautifully decorated rooms set in an unusual building - an actual tower which offers a panoramic vista of the surrounding hills and Mount Vesuvius. We loved the agri-tourisma feel - garden with olive trees, vines, fruit trees and vegetables. Wished we had stayed a few extra days.

We arrived at 'the white tower' to find some very friendly and welcoming hosts. The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the view from our room was panoramic, taking in local hills, valleys, the local village and Mount Vesuvius. Specific directions are required to find la torretta bianca (it is tucked away and difficult to find). GPS navigation is helpful initially but you will need to follow the signs also. Keep going until the end of the road (top of the hill). American or Italian breakfasts are offered. The Italian breakfast tried by us was a delicious warm croissant and mini sfogliatelle with home made jam. There was, of course, coffee, juice and home grown grapes among other things. We found La Torretta Bianca was in a great location to base yourselves when visiting the Amalfi Coast, Naples, Salerno, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our host Luciano (and his parents) made us feel very welcome. We were lucky enough to sample some of their home grown / made wine which was delicious. We would highly recommend this accomodation and thank our hosts for a great stay which was very memorable.

My boyfriend and I (we're in our 30's) decided at the last minute to spend a night in Cava, and just stumbled upon this place through trip advisor. It sounded great, but in real life it was absolutely marvelous. For 70 Euros we had a huge room that was beautifully decorated, along with what is probably the nicest hotel/B&B bathroom I've ever seen in all of Italy. The view was breathtaking, we slept like rocks, and in the morning there was breakfast waiting for us outside on the terrace.

Our hosts at the B&B were incredibly friendly and helpful and met us at the train station to show us the way to the place (which is absolutely necessary unless you are familiar with the region). To stay at this B&B I would say it's necessary to have a car, as it's pretty far removed from the main roads and public transportation - but this is quite honestly the highlight. To a couple who live in Holland, this place was just simply a dream - both of us were actually quite sad that we had plans to go out for dinner with friends, because we could have been quite happy just spending the entire night watching the sun set and listening to the crickets chirp.

I would go back in a second. What a lucky find this place was!

Room Tip: the €70 room could sleep 3 people, though we were only two. the view was outstanding!

I had such a perfect vacation in Italy, all because of the EXCELLENT planning and organization of ICNOS ADVENTURES! The owners of this Travel and Tour Agency, Marcello and Anna are ready to provide whatever you need to have a perfect vacation. They coordinated everything perfectly from finding an unbelievably beautiful place to stay for a very reasonable price with outstanding accommodations called the LA TORRETTA BIANCA, which ovelooks Mt. Visuvius. The view from this amazing, peaceful Bed & Breakfast is phenominal! Bed & Breakfast is misleading, as it is much more like being in your own private mansion perched on a mountain just outside of Cava. Luciano, Vittorio and his wonderful wife made sure everything was perfect while staying at LA TORRETTA BIANCA in Cava de' Tirreni. It has an amazing patio, overlooking the town, surrounded by a fabulous garden. ICNOS ADVENTURES also provided us with a driver who was absolutely exceptional, please ask for LUIGI, I promise you will not be dissappointed. ICNOS ADVENTURES also planned for tours and guides from a morning hike with Nicola as the guide, to tours to Herculano and agriturismo, Mt. Visuvius, whatever you want to see. We took the ferry from Salerno to Positano for some sightseeing and shopping and of course more food! Our driver would pick us up at LA TORRETTA BIANCA and take us to our next adventure planned for the day, pick us up when we were ready to go back and rest up for another amazing day. The list of things to do are endless and too many to list. I give the entire experience a 5-Star rating, as it could not have been more perfect! My thanks to all involved for such a memorable visit to the amazing Italy! I highly recommend using ICNOS ADVENTURES as well as staying at LA TORRETTA BIANCA!
