My daughter Alana and myself stayed 2 nights with Angela and Antonio at Dint' a Torre a very charming and clean B & B and enjoyed breakfast each morning on the terrace with a fantastic view of the villages and lemongroves perched on the mountainside and the sea in the distance. They were both very accommodating and let me use their phone to speak to my husband in Australia when he called. We enjoyed our stay in the medieval village of Pontone and a lovely lunch one day in a restaurant nearby with a specatuar view. You can go by bus to the lovely town of Ravello further up the mountain or take the bus or walk down the steps in 30mins to Amalfi and have a refreshing swim in the sea. Make sure you get a bus timetable for your stay there.

I can't really rave enough about this place! It was just gorgeous, and what made it were the hosts. Angela and Antonio don't speak much English but we had a great time finding ways to communicate with them, they were sooo helpful (and if in doubt they will give you their daughter's number / call her for you!).

The B&B is in Pontone (if you're driving Antonio will happily park your car in their garage for you), which is a lovely little town with 3 very good restaurants and a bar. It is about 800 steps down to Amalfi, a fun walk, and the blue bus can bring you back from the port of Amalfi and drops you just round the corner from the B&B (€2.40 a ticket). To get to Ravello it's a really beautiful 1 hr walk (only the first 20 mins is a hike up lots of steps, then the rest is flat/downhill) - we went on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks and Angela helped us sort a €25 cab back to the B&B so we could have a few drinks.

The B&B itself is really modern and our room had a gorgeous little balcony. The cakes and coffee were amazing. Angela even got up at 530am so we could have breakfast before we headed off for our flight home - thank you both so much for having us, we will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights at Dint' a Torre. It is a charming place, ideally located in a charming village between Amalfi and Ravello. You can walk down the stairs to go to Amalfi in 30 minutes. To come back up, you can either walk back the 800 steps or simply take the bus (the Costiera Amalfitana has a very good bus service). Our hosts were extremely nice and attentive. They also gave us great advice for visits. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade marmelades and cakes. We'll definitely go back !

The Dint' a Torre Bed and Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the perfect place to stay in the Amalfi area.  Although we never met in person, Domenico was incredibly responsive and gave us everything we might need leading up to our stay.  Upon arriving we were greeted by the hosts, Angela and Antonio, who promptly led us to the terrace (with a heart-stopping view of Pontone and the surrounding valley all the way to the sea) and served us homemade lemonade made from lemons grown across the footpath.  It's an easy drive (or a challenging but rewarding hike) down into Amalfi - and we recommend checking out the neighboring Atrani, as well - but you have everything you need at Dint' a Torre.  The people in Pontone are extremely welcoming and during our stay we managed to only meet local residents, which was exactly what we were looking for!  The town is perfect for a post-meal stroll through the stone paths and I wish we could have stayed longer (forever).  Dint' a Torre is a must visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a valley view
