In an unexpected location, very well preserved Roman villa, instructively presented, quiet, worth to visit. Recommended.

“Villa Romana”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

there were only another 2 people in the villa which gave it an amazing atmosphere - there is a small museum which contains artefacts taken from the Roman Villa, jars for storing oil, coins etc. No English on the information which is posted so advisable to go to the tourist office on the sea front first to get the english booklet on the site to take with you.

“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

The Antiquarium was located right behind our hotel so we spent a bit of time looking at all the artifacts and the story boards in English. It was fascinating to think that it was a beautiful villa on the sea so long ago. It is easily worth spending an hour looking around and entrance is free.

Gave us a good idea of old Roman artifacts and also how much the sea had receded over the centuries
