“Fantastic & unspoilt location”
Reviewed July 31, 2009

This nice, family-run hotel is perfectly located just outside the crowded and "touristy" part of the Amalfi Coast, but within easy reach of all the attractions. Lots of fantastic footpaths with breathtaking views in the local area, and the hotel staff were more than happy to provide transportation to the beach. We were initially planning to get around using local buses, but found these to be rather unreliable. Fortunately, the hotel staff were very helpful, and they took us around by car instead.
The rooms are really nice, quiet and well maintained. We were lucky, got a room with a nice terrace in the brand new "garden wing". The hotel restaurant is fabulous, with loads of local dishes. It seems as if a lot of local people are eating at the restaurant during the weekends.
The family running the hotel are just so friendly, and they did absolutely everything to ensure that our holiday was running smooth. We were sad to leave, but we are very keen to get back sometime in the future. I don´t think that one can get better value for the money than what you get here.

Arrived to the 2Torri on a group tour. I expected the hotel to be comfortable, but a bit basic. Was surprised to find that the rooms were all really nice and refurbished to a high standard. The staff did everything to make life comfortable for us, and the food was brilliant. A definite highlight on the tour was the charming local "Mr. Fix Everything", Eduardo, who added so much italian atmosphere to our stay.
This was my best holiday ever !

They charged us 91 Euro ($127) for a load of laundry. There was no price list in our room and they did not present bill until checkout. Also, we were stranded in Castellamare di Stabia because the SITA bus never came. We contacted the hotel and they sent a car. The bill was 100 Euro (20 Euro apiece) for a 50 Euro cab ride. Again, no forewarning--just presentment at check out. Unless you are interested in hiking, this is not the place to stay. It is difficult, expensive and time consuming to get to Amalfi, Positano, Vesuvius, Pompeii or Capri.

We stayed at the hotel as part of an Exodus walking tour of the Amalfi coast. If you wanted to stay here and explore the Amalfi coast on your own you would need to have a car as it is about 30min bus ride out of the main town of Amalfi and the buses are interesting!
On arrival at the hotel we went straight in for a meal (we arrived at about 10pm) when we had finished our meal we were suprised to find that all our cases were already in our rooms - a nice touch.
Our room was not in the main building but we did have a small balcony. The room was quite small but adequate. It had all the basics which you needed. The bathroom was o.k but the shower could not be altered and the head was fixed very high up - which might be o.k if you are very tall! Our big complaint was that there was no heating and our towels remained wet - which was not very pleasant when you came back to use them. We did ask our rep to sort this out and he spoke to hetel staff but nothing was done. Some rooms did have heating which was working.
Evening meals were good and we never went away feeling hungry.
We were disapointed with breakfast the choice was very limited and one morning the bread had run out and it was only 9am!
The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the cooking demonstrations. Although there was a big sign in the kitchen saying send your reviews and pictures to Tripadvisor!

My wife and I have just returned from our second Exodus holiday
at the Hotel Le Due Torri. The Hotel and staff are special to both of us and are the reason that we intend to return as independent travellers next year.
Due Torri is situated on the Agerola plain, a bus ride or a heart in the mouth drive, from the main tourist attractions of the Amalfi coastline. The scenery and walks are spectacular and one feels inclined to believe legend that Gods did once choose to live here.
The hotel in the village of Bomerano is peaceful and relies on fresh locally grown produce to provide really tasty dishes. Gianni the chef is brother to Nicola and between them seem to run the enterprise, asissted by really friendly helpful staff.
The rooms are plain simple and very clean. Staff are always available and willing to help in any way they can. We very much recommend the hotel to anyone seeking a peaceful, friendly place to relax and where you can enjoy good food.
It was a wrench to leave and we look forward to returning next year.

We stayed at the Due Torri 20th - 27th August for our daughter's wedding, she married an Agerolan. Nicola, his family and staff could not have been more helpful, caring or thoughtful. On our arrival late on Wednesday night they put on a beautiful meal of loacl delicacies - delicious. A wedding brings it's own special chaos and Nicola and staff coped superbly and decorated the hotel. We had several children in our party and they settled in very well and developed friendships with the local children, emails are being exchanged. All and all Nicola and the Due Torri could not have done more for us to make our daughter's wedding special, he even arranged trips for us to the beach at Maiori on our chill out days. I have no hesitation in recommending the Due Torri and we look forward to seeing Nicola when he visits the UK. Thank you very much for making our stay so memorable - we will be back.

We wanted to walk the Amalfi Coast, but didn't fancy staying in Amalfi or other posh tourist resorts like Positano. Agerola is a 'real' village perched high above the sea, yet very close to really good walking country and only 30 mins on the bus to Amalfi. The walking is great -- several trails direct from the village and others accessible by bus. The hotel staff have some info about local walks and are very willing to help plan your days. There are almost no other tourists in the village, though local business owners are happy to welcome you to their shops and restaurants (and they are very good value compared to the coastal resorts). A very handy place to be based. It can be accessed via public transport or the hotel will arrange for reliable airport transfer from Napoli (under 1 hour, expensive, but worth it). The hotel was excellent value, very comfortable and friendly. The majority of their business seems to come from UK tour groups - if you book independently you get that extra bit of special attention from this wonderful family-run business. The restaurant was homely, with good basic dishes and a decent wine list. Rooms were clean, neat and well cared for, and the location peaceful. Lovely.

  • Liked — In a tiny village, yet handy for tourist areas and walks
  • Disliked — no air conditioning
