You would think the IBIS brand offers some guarantee of standard but this hotel took the biscuit. A 'dog friendly' venue, while we stayed two nights we saw at least 6 dogs checking in and one even urinated on the elevator door. The hotel is in drastic need of refurbishment, the room smelled of old smoke, there was mould growing on the inside of the shower, the carpet edges looked like they had never seen a vacumn and lets not even mention the food - luke warm is an exaggeration. We gave our feedback to the Accor online survey and the hotel manager offered a nights refund if we provided credit card details - as this is not possible for an international card, we mentioned an address in Ireland where a cheque could be posted however its been a month and no cheque has arrived. seriously, there are so many better places you could stay than here. IBIS you need to visit this hotel and review.

Myself and my family stayed in the Ibis Hotel, off the red cow roundabout 18th october for 1night. We were exhausted after travelling for 5hours and arrived 10pm. We had 2rooms booked. 2double beds in each room and travel cot in 1. The rooms were opposite each other, were spotlessly clean and the bed linen was crisp and luxurious. We had a wonderful nights sleep. The following morning we all went down to breakfast, the menu was extensive to say the least. The dining area was spotless and very child friendly. Staff were all helpful and courteous at all times. The 7 of us enjoyed the Ibis Hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it in future.

Room Tip: We had 2rooms and both were of the highest standard.

We stayed for 3 nights and we're very happy with room ,beds comfortable and excellent breakfast .
On our first night we ate in the hotel with excellent service and the food was very acceptable .
The tram ride into the city ran frequently and was reasonable at 4.20 euros.
Would recommend this chain of hotels

Room Tip: The back was quieter.

If you're looking for value for money this hotel is fine. (i.e. you get what you pay for).
I stayed there in July 2012 with my family (we had a superior room and a superior family room) and having read earlier reviews I was slightly apprehensive about the comfort of the beds, I didn't need to be, new mattress toppers had been fitted the previous week to all the beds so they were very comfortable.
The rooms were clean in that they had been vacuumed but has permanent stains on the carpet.
The environmental policy was not followed - we hung all our towels each day and still received clean ones. If you're not going to implement the policy don't pretend to care about the environment.
The staff were friendly enough.
Better directions on the web site would have helped - we got lost with the mass of roads that intertwine at that point.
Free parking.
Nice and close to the tram line - easy access to the city.

Many thanks for your comments. We appreciate all feedback and are glad you enjoyed your stay. I'll look into the points your raised personally. We are working with the city council to add more road sign. For planet 21, thank you to let us know, you hang up your towel to don't get change and housekeeping put new towel anyway. I will personally talk to the accommodation manager about your comments. I hope we can welcome you back to the Ibis hotel in Dublin very soon.

stayed one nite- booked on line 65euro excluding breakfast, advertised as a superior room WHAT A JOKE. nothing superior about our room. room was spacious but so basic. bed was ok. looked more like hospital bed than hotel bed. volume didnt work on some tv channels. shower and sink needed to be cleaned. soap dispenser in bathroom so unprofessional. room was at front of hotel so noise from traffic was a night mare. BREAKFAST was despicable - approached abruptly by staff to pay immediately for our breakfast before we even got to te buffet (if you could call it that). toaster did not work, fried breakfast was disgusting (eggs were cold, fatty greasy bacon, wont be returning

Nothing unusual about this Ibis. Staff delightful and helpful. Bed comfortable. Breakfast extensive and plentiful. But I do wish hotels generally would provide better quality juices!
Near a busy junction, so ask for rooms at the back.
Word of warning.......Tricky to see exactly which road you need as it's off a spur. Very easy to miss the turning and end up on the dual carriageway going into Dublin centre. As you come round the roundabout, hug the lefthand side of the road. The hotel sign is not easily seen, so you need to aim for what looks like a road to nowhere. You do a wiggle and then see the sign.
