We stayed at the Glaros for 8 nights in June for our first holiday in Naxos and my girlfriend simply couldn't have picked a better hotel, not only for it's location for the beach and the town but for it's customer service.

The hotel is located about, i'd say 20 seconds from the beach which is where we stayed most of the time. It's also about a 5 minute walk from the start of the main town and restaurant area so that that point of view was perfect. The hotel itself looks fantastic both inside and out. I asked Alex (the owner), how many months ago had the hotel been re-decorated and he replied '3 years'!! As an owner of a well decorated rental flat, i couldn't believe how good the Glaros looks. From the lobby to the rooms to the outside, it looks perfect and suits it's Boutique naming.

The breakfast (which is optional) is perfect and is in fact better value than other breakfasts you can have on the many tavernas close by. My girlfriend had booked the Master Suite (room 6 if memory serves me) and we couldn't have wished for a nicer room (see pictures). Beautifully decorated and with a lovely large bathroom and what i can only describe as large second room (a lounge, if you will). There were 2 LCD tv's on the wall but i never bothered turning it on in the 8 days i was there. There's various wifi hotspots you can log into in the hotel and if you're close to a certain point, you can grab the various WIFI spots from other tavernas.

N.B- One of the great things about the Naxos restaurants and tavernas is that they all have their own WIFI that you can connect to whilst you're sitting at the table (some even have the code on the menu). For a freelancer like myself, this was invaluable for getting work emails during the trip and not having to rush back to the hotel throughout the day to get updated.

Alex and his staff couldn't have been more helpful. From the dealings my girlfriend had with him prior to our trip, to our arrival and every point in between, Alex was lovely , helpful and so very kind. On my second to last day, i tore a muscle in my back at the local gym. Alex not only helped sort a physiotherapist but also helped us locate an open Pharmacy. For some reason, ALL the pharmacy's in town were closed apart from one located way up north.

Yes the Hotel experience was great but the personal touches by Alex and his team made our stay wonderful and stress free

If you're going to stay in a hotel in Naxos…….stay at the Glaros.

Room Tip: Room 6 is the Master Suite and is well worth the extra money

Firstly too many places these days have anonymous owners. Not this hotel. The owner Alex was ever present. Unbelievably friendly, happy to help with unbiased, honest bar and restaurant recommendations and a perfectionist to top it all off. The hotel is relatively small but excellent value for money, modern, immaculate and with a great deal of charm. Located on the beach, Hotel Glaros is only a short stroll into town and there is a pretty cool bar just next door with a more than decent range of cocktails. Greece has suffered a lot in recent years and people like Alex deserve credit for doing their utmost to make visitors feel welcome and more importantly valued.

We stayed 4 nights here and had a fantastic time. The hosts are lovely and wanted nothing more than for us to enjoy our time in Naxos. They are always happy to help and to provide advice on activities and restaurants.
Our room was a good size with a snazy decor and was very comfortable.
The hotel is located right near St. George's beach, while the main promenade is a 5 minute stroll away.
Would definitely recommend this hotel - Eric & Sarah

We were very impressed by this hotel, from the cold mango juice as we checked in to the great room to the amazing scrambled eggs for breakfast-we loved it! Really great service with a genuine smile, got home from a night out to be welcomed by a glass of cold wine waiting for us. As we checked out a bar of chocolate to wish us on our way. The rooms are EXACTLY as the photos-please trust me! Great hotel, truly sad to leave the hotel and fabulous island.
