Good location - just 10 min walk to the charming city center and Port.
Excellent shower facilities, helpful staff (provided us with tips about the beaches, points of interest to visit and restaurants). You can enjoy breakfast in the outside area, when there is room available.

We stayed here in June 2011 and had a great experience. The hotel room was clean and modern, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was close to the beach and an easy walk into town. The hotel was helpful in renting a car and suggesting activities as well. Would highly recommend this hotel.

we and our best friends (two couples) stayed there for 10 days in June 2011; a most fortunate choice. High class, with all facilities on hand, and not 5 minutes walk to beach and town. Stefanos and his staff couldnt do enough for us, and extended a warm, personal friendship as well. Thank you so much for a huge contribution to the holiday of a lifetime. We'll say right away that we enjoyed our holiday here. We were a bit taken aback when we saw our bedroom, with the golden drapes including a suspended canopy from the ceiling, probably a dust trap as well as a heat trap, obscuring the bedside lights in the ceiling and making even more inaccessible their switches behind the headboard. The bed was a bit low for us and the mattress too soft; there were designer shelves at the bedside with no drawer or locker to put bits in; no hooks; limited clothes storage, and nowhere to put the suitcases. We couldn't economically get much depth of water in the designer sink, and It took us oldies a while to fathom the 'Young Connection' shower!
However we loved the position of the room (standard, garden view) on the east side of the hotel; beyond a quiet cul de sac to people watch, it overlooked (but signs of building development) a scrubby patch with goats being milked and (not too near) the odd cock crowing; by midday the sun was off the balcony and it cooled through the afternoon - fortunate, since we too felt there was a problem with the air conditioning.
Steps being a bit of a problem for us, we appreciated the ramp available up to reception area on the middle floor, though from there it was 13 steepish steps with no hand rail down to the, very nice, pool at ground level. However that had a welcome shady pagoda for those who did not want to sit in the very hot sun. Nowhere did they intimate that they served meals there in the evening, and indeed we have never come across such a lack of information - none of the usual pool safety notices - we never found a wc anywhere apart from in our own room - no info folder in the room. We found all that a bit disconcerting, but it certainly did make for a relaxed ambience.
Don't be put off by our criticisms, because as usual in Greece we found the way round these little inconveniences. The staff looked after us very well, especially Constantinos on reception, we liked the breakfasts, and the beach was handy with pleasant enough swimming and a relaxed atmosphere, and we enjoyed all of the three cafe/restaurants to the left, away from town.

Room Tip: Rooms with view facing west over the pool are hot

Right beside small beach, easy walk to Naxos town and port (town has a maze of interesting old streets to explore, lots of good cheap restaurants). worth renting a car to explore the island - spectacular mountains and countryside, great walking. Hotel was clean, very friendly, efficient. We were very early in season so bar/restaurant not really open, but staff were very helpful. Breakfast was included but not great, basic (but found a great breakfast round the corner). room was comfortable, well laid out, beach view. On edge of town, but easy walking. Loved Naxos.

Very nicely renovated hotel with a fabulous view over the pool and towards the beach and sea view from the balcony. Modern and tastefully renovated bathroom. Very polite and friendly staff very willing to assist with most requests. More than adequate breakfast included in the room price. Excellent location close to beach and Naxos town as well as ferry port.
A few little annoyances. The airconditioner did not work the whole time we were there. We mentioned this to staff on the first day, who said someone would look at it that day. However nothing changed for the 3 days we were there. When we checked out, we mentioned it again and they said that they had realised that the whole hotel system had failed and that someone was fixing it right then (maybe true or false). Either way the rooms get very hot in the afternoon/evenings without aircon and you can't leave the balcony door open at night due to the mosquitoes. Very hard to sleep. We paid a high price for this hotel so it would have been nice for them to reduce it a little because of the faulty aircon.
They have a strange setup with power. Removal of the room key when leaving the room disconnects everything including power to the fridge and alarm clock so any food items spoil in the heat and you have to keep resetting the clock if you want to know the time. The magnetic tag cannot be removed from the key either so that you can't leave power on in the room when you leave.
Overall though a pleasant hotel to stay at.
Nothing to do with the hotel but if you hire a car in Naxos watch out for crazy bus drivers who drive in the middle of the road and travel in inappropriate fast speeds around blind cliff top corners. Seems to be the norm there.

The Galaxy offers great rooms and sea views for a very reasonable price low season. The hotel is in a good position, close to the beach, restaurants and town. Staff excellent - friendly and welcoming, nothing too much trouble.

We booked a superior sea view double room - it had a 6 foot bed, very comfortable for a good nights sleep, plus the other essential - a decent overhead shower with rain fitting.

We thought breakfast was pretty good for Greece - its not a major meal for them - with eggs & bacon, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, Greek yoghurt, cereals, nice breads - served till 10.30 a.m., we didn't eat again until the evening.

The nearby beach is pretty good for a town beach and the town is a 5-10 minute walk. If you wanted to chill out for a week and not hire a car the Galaxy is ideal as everything is within walking distance.

One minor niggle - the WIFI in our room did not work so we had to decamp to reception to use our laptop. I think this will get sorted in due course.

Highly recommended.
