“Loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

This is a France squeezed into the tiniest of restaurants. I think five tables inside and four outside.
If you enjoy French food, nice wine, want somewhere romantic or a break from greek food for a night then you must try this place.
Who ever you are, where ever you visit from you are made to feel very welcome
Service is friendly and courteous with all food and wine explained fully.
A nice wine menu meant a difficult choice of what to go for, but an excellent result when I finally made up my mind!
The food menu is small, which I expect is necessary for such a small place but you won't struggle to choose something good. There is a selection of hot and cold French style tapas sized dishes with a Greek twist from the use of local ingredients. There were two main course style dishes as well, so we had both, which were delicious.

We enjoyed our visit so came back again for our last evening.
Would definitely visit again if we returned to Naxos.

“A little gem, highly recommended”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

I've been to Naxos for many years, but this year was my first time to cross over the threshold of La Vigne and I am so glad that I did, not once, but three times! La Vigne is a perfect spot to sample high quality, freshly prepared tasty bites featuring things like homemade ravioli parcels, rillettes of rabbit or duck and delicious bruschette and varieties of cheese (the list goes on!) As if that wasn't enough, there's also a daily sweet treat (I still smile when I think about the creme catalan with toasted almonds on top!) As for the wines, the selection is superb and has been chosen with passion and great care. It's a good mix also of affordable and 'let's treat ourselves' bottles. I think passion, care and great humour are also the words that sum up la Vigne's owners Eli & Fred. They both make it a pleasure to stop by for an hour (or three!!) A highly recommended spot for me.

Great tasty meze in a tiny restaurant.
Large wine list at small prices. The French ladies are serving with humor and smile delicious and inventive snacks. The mille feuilles is scrumptious.

“simply excellent!”

The main reason Naxos loves France! One of the most atmospheric places I ve been, the joy & peace of its owners becomes yours and you always want to stay more... The variety of wines is big and very interesting, the food is always a surprise with high quality local products and the bar is placed in one of the most cute pedestrian streets in the island's old town...

“Exquisite wines and tapas-style eating served with warm hospitality.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2012

Set in the beautiful , wondrous labyrinth alleyways of the old city , the charming,La Vigne restaurant and wine bar, is an absolute must-visit if your taste buds demand a change from the standard, local food and wines. The wines alone are worth a visit...in fact several visits... as there are too many to appreciate in one sitting. Accompanying the liquid fare, there is a plethora of delicious snack-like tapas with a greco-franco-italian (and more besides) angle! Ellie and Fred are the 'hostesses with the mostest' and keep the grub and vino flowing at a steady trot. Since La Vigne carries with it a very personal concept of what it offers, Ellie and Fred are never far to aid and advise on wine and food selections. Wonderful! Bravo!
