If the location were not 'a little bit' too far from home we would go there twice a month when
we want to escape from everyday routine.
The promenade near Naxos port is beautiful: countless shops and restaurants frame
this place full of joy and color. The first thing that made us, my husband and i, choose
Irini's was the view: the pergola with vine branches and leaves and the fountain with light games made this restaurant truly original.
But let's move on to the culinary aspect. We went there several times and we tasted
different dishes. To try, if you want to eat something fresh, the typical Naxos salad: tasty.
Worthy of applause the succulent hamburger stuffed with greek cheese and tomato, a 'must'.
Delicious chicken souvlaki, excellent cheese croquettes and fried calamari. Really a discovery
both the apples with honey and cinnamon and the apple pie in pastasfoglia:
I would have taken another portion! You also have to taste the house wine: I love red more but also the white was good.
At the end of the meal the waiter offered us the cedar liqueur ... well after a dinner like that was quite necessary and it was really good too.
At last but not least, I also recommend it for the very affordable price. In addition the staff is
friendly and speak Italian and english fluidly; anyhow, they have menus written in all the most current languages.
