Great location...a quick walk to one side of the hotel is the shallow St George beach with some decent beach tavernas and a nice bay with sunchairs; to the other side is the main strip—the port—with its nice variety of restaurants, bars and shops (and of course, the incredible "Old Town" just behind it).

And good God, the view from the third-floor terrace of this hotel is awesome. I highly recommend getting one of the two rooftop rooms, which give you direct access to said terrace. Yes, you share it with the people in the other rooftop room (and in fact, everyone in the hotel is welcome to use the terrace if they wish) but we stayed in Naxos in early Sept and felt like we had the entire terrace to ourselves for 6 nights. Absolutely spectacular sunset view.

In particular, our room (309 I believe it was) had ample space and a separate sitting room.

True, the shower is one of those handheld jobs and the bed isn't great; oh, and the hotel staircase is extremely steep and narrow (pack light lol)....but we had no other complaints with this cute family-run hotel.

A few quick tips on Naxos: among our favourite restaurants on the island are Matina Stavros in the village of Koronos; Taverna Pigi in the village of Ano Potamia; Rotonda near the village of Filoti, and Axiotissa (reservations needed?) near the village of Kastraki. And if you're looking for a gorgeous, mostly deserted beach, go to Pyrgaki on the south end of the island. On the west end we liked Plaka beach but the entire west end is much busier in general.

Naxos is large and you'll definitely need a car...but the mountainous driving is hairy so I advise visiting the restaurants above for lunch and dining in Naxos Town (at the port and in the Old Town behind it) for dinner. In the Old Town we enjoyed a break from Greek food at the tiny La Vigne Wine Bar...and there's a nice variety of bars in the Old Town too. We loved the jazz bar and the one called Notos.

Bottom line, Hotel Kymata is good value and in a perfect location.

Room Tip: Get one of the two rooftop rooms!

Great view from the 2nd floor balcony and yes the stairs were a bit narrow but not sure where dzver was staying as breakfast was on the GROUND floor. Room was basic but had air/con & a TV, shower and toilet (with the same drawback as all Greek toilets) 5 min walk to main part of town and same to the beach in the opposite direction. Free parking but compared to similar, I thought it a little bit pricey

The room had everything you need + amazing view.

Unfortunately it was very noisy. At 8am everyone goes to the rooftop to have breakfast. Unfortunately the floor is hard and all chairs are wooden, so guests create unimaginable scratch sound. It wakes up all babies in the hotel. So after 8am, sleeping is not possible. Breakfast is also poor, better eat somewhere else.

Room Tip: Avoid the top floor, the noise is probably lower if you're not right below the rooftop.

Clean rooms, change of towels and sheets every day, Mattress no comfortable. Breakfast, good.
almost next to the beach. and 6 blocks from the port. Bar restaurants and supermarkets near by.
Big problem, no elevator, and the stairs are very narrow. No safety box. The rest was very good I would choose Kymata again .

Room Tip: no stairs, choose first floor. Side view to the Agios Georgeos beach and to the port.

A clean hotel with basic but clean rooms. Linen and towels changed daily and a good selection for breakfast. Super friendly staff who will help in any way they can. Two minute walk to fantastic beach and restaurant/bars. We stayed for four nights and even had a Greek food demo thrown in.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. Its a lovely hotel, the rooms are basic but clean, nicely decorated, have air-con, a fridge and a kettle. The balcony is tiny but with nice views -the roof terrace is only available to the 2 rooms on the 3rd floor.

Breakfast was great, cereal, breads, lovely home cooked pies and cakes, yogurt and fresh fruit.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is great, a 2 min walk to the beach and 5 mins to town.

Room Tip: Only the 2 rooms at the top have access to the roof terrace (these coast extra), the rest have small...

We stayed 1week in Kymata Naxos hotel, well located near the beach and restaurants
In a quiet area, the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and reasonably priced.
The only staff was Eleni and Stella and did what they could to make our stay comfortable
The breakfast could be improved, and fresher cakes, but OK.
Unfortunately they do not come to the port to pick you up as other hotels do,
and taxis in Naxos are notorious to over charge, they asked 10 euros for what looks like
600 yards ride ! Port to Kymata hotel.
