It was the best meal we've had in a long while...not just in our travels. Thanks to all the wonderful reviews on the restaurant, we thought we'd give it a try and then we can move on to the next one on our list for the next day. But the food just blew us away completely, so we ended up eating here all 3 nights of our stay in Bacharach. The wiener schnitzel was pure perfection--juicy, tender, flavorful and fresh in a crispy lightly-breaded coating. Do you know how hard it is to cook pork and make it tender and juicy?? The pork loin medallions were also cooked to perfection in a light mushroom sauce...which, speaking of the mushrooms, they were perfectly sauteed with just the right amount of searing to bring out the carmelization without being burnt like so many restaurants tend to do. The chicken tenders in mushroom sauce was just as delicious, not to mention the delectable white asparagus and roasted potatoes. Kurt: please teach me how you cook these!!! My mouth is watering just thinking about them as I write this review.
