Absolutely fabulous meal. Brought out of town company here for dinner and they too agreed that the food AND service were both 5 star quality. Will be back again...and soon!

“Great Italian Restaurant in Surprising Place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 3, 2013

We visited our daughter in Newport News for her 23rd birthday. We told her that we would take her to ANY restaurant for dinner, and she chose this one. When we heard it was attached to a Holiday Inn we were skeptical, but were we surprised! It felt like we were in Italy, with an authentically Italian menu, music, and decor. Our daughter recommended the Parmesan chicken dish; my husband enjoyed an eggplant special, and I had a wonderful seafood dish with Mahi Mahi, scallops, and shrimp. We had excellent service, a visit from the owner, and just a great overall evening. I love when we find these little, family-owned jewels. Try it! You'll like it!

“Favorite Italian Restaurant On The Peninsula!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

My wife and I have eaten here a few times before and today we took another couple with us. Enter and you feel you have crossed the border into Italy. Wonderful ambience and Italian tenors crooning through the speakers.
I ordered the penne pasta with meatballs and found it exquisite! My wife ordered chicken (without the breading) and pasta, and Jack, the owner and waiter today, complied with her request with pleasure. And with pleasure it was that my wife enjoyed her meal so much.
Our friends had flounder and veal with eggplant, respectively, and both were very satisfied with their lunches. The pinot grigio was delicious and reasonably priced.
All together a thoroughly enjoyable time here with Jack today. As always!
Join Jack's email group and you will receive a monthly coupon for 20% off the entire bill--very generous!
We'll be back again and again...

“Excellent dinner in every way, food, ambiance and service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

We have been raving about our culinary experience at Fiorello's. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The ambiance is reminiscent of being in Italy. The food was excellent. My husband and I both had different veal dishes and liked them so much we were just thrilled with our meals. The salad, which is included in your dinner, was delicious and the garlic knots were heavenly. We don't normally get dessert but the homemade tiramisu was extraordinary. It is served in a beautiful glass and one serving was more than enough for two people.
The owner, Jack, came over to our table several times to ensure our meal was enjoyed. Our server, Farrah, was excellent, very attentive and helpful.
We would recommend Fiorello's to everyone and would rate it in the top 5 best restaurants in Newport News.

“Revisit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 17, 2013

After we wrote a review about a recent "disappointing" visit, we were contacted by the owner with an offer of a revisit to prove to us that all their meals were prepared fresh and ingredients were not from a can. We arrived at the restaurant for our 6pm reservation and were greeted by the owner, Jack. He assured us that all meals were prepared using fresh ingredients and even offered us a tour of the kitchen. He assured us that the cheese we had commented on was in fact freshly grated. Our meals this evening were FANTASTIC!! Both of our dishes were cooked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed every morsel. Our host was eager to please and we are happy to say we will come back and enjoy home cooking again and again. I highly recommend this Italian fine dining experience. This is good Italian food and the restaurant is run excellently from someone who really cares about serving his guests. Thank you Jack, we will be back to see you again very soon and I will recommend your restaurant to everyone I meet!
