I have had lunch at Lunch Bell several times. I admit the highlight of this restaurant for me is the homemade pies and cobblers. They have a list of freshly baked fruit pies and cakes everyday. The Lunch Bell is a warm and friendly locally owned restaurant. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant serves homestyle soups, sandwiches, salads, and entrees. It is a charming place with reasonable prices and a loyal clientele.Three generations of the family work at the restaurant. The daughter and granddaughter bake the desserts and cookies. The owners are there to seat customers and keep all operating smoothly. The waitresses are genuinely interested in the customer enjoying the meals. It has lots of appeal to those of us who remember when most restaurants were locally owned and each had a unique personality.

It's a bit pricey for lunch but for a special occasion it's a wonderful place to visit. Monday and Thursday are hot chicken salad day, this is my FAVORITE. The frozen fruit pudding side is out of this world. Staff is also very nice.

Had the Cuban sandwich. Pork, pickles and spicy mayo. Also came with hot fries. Sweet tea was just the way it is supposed to be. Waitress also brought a sample of their hot chicken salad, it also was tasty. The only down side was they do not serve alcohol.

I use to eat their sandwiches when they first got started going to corporate buildings with a basket of goodies. Now this place is always busy. We went with another couple. The service was good but the sandwiches were okay. Kind of favorless from the beginning. Sandwiches such as chicken were sandwich package meats not fresh chicken. Okay if you are really hungry.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a guest at our hotel, and it was exactly as he described --- great food & service, home-baked pies, courteous and gracious service. We ate their for lunch on two consecutive days, enjoyed both meals. I had a nice sandwich the first day, and a great sausage, cheese & apple quiche the next day. Beverage servings were very large, with a FREE refill --- don't even need to ask. It was obvious that this was a popular lunch spot for locals, and it was recommended by our hotel staff as well. Great choice!!
