Best part of the Mariners Museum. Essentially it deals with everything you want to know about the Civil War Ironclad ship. AND it has a major piece of the ship, models of the ship and parts of it, an interesting and informative film, and lots more. For Civil War buffs a must.

We had the best time here. We arrived early and watched a film..loved it..the exhibits were facinating and we learned a lot of new things like what it was like to be on the water back then. We loved the model ships. It took us most of the day to see everything. We had lunch at the cafe and we thought the food was very good. The best was looking at the cleaning process of the turret and artifacts. We had such a good time and we'll definitely be back again.
We would recommend this museun and park for all ages.

This was my favorite part of my last visit to the Mariner's Museum. Great layou of actual artifacts as well as very nice recreations to enhance the exibit. The layout of the exibit was in such a way that it took you from the planning and building of the Monitor, all the way to it's unfortunate demise. It is very well worth a little time out of your day to come see this exibit.
